Anyone else having trouble with trackpad not working?  So far I have restarted a couple times and repaired kext cache and permissions.  The trackpad preferences load but the trackpad doesn't actually work.

EDIT:  I got it to work by installing VoodooPS2Controller.kext and VoodooInput.kext to L/E.  I'll try removing them from there after the kernel cache has rebuilt itself.

installation of the 10.15.4 beta causes the following kernel panic:

It seems like Apple finally decided to solve the DRM bug in Safari and radeon RX5XX ! I can now play Netflix videos with safari without the system freezing!!!

Good update!

Btw, are you using any Shiki boot argument?

I second @telepati's question :)

Nop, no Shiki argument required.

I'm using the iMac Pro SMBIOS and everything seems to be working well, as it was in Mojave.

I haven't checked without WEG yet.

Cheers

Thank you for the info. I wonder how it would behave on a headless setup.

Ahh got it. But it is always worked with iMacPro. Somebody must test on iMac 19,1.

I just did.

iMac19,1:

Change shikigva to 80 like with the Navi / Vega cards. Results:

  • Netflix in Safari Works -> Bottom Right Family Guy on Netflix (Safari)
  • Amazon Prime in Safari does not work (crashing WebKit) -> Top Right the Safari Window showing the crash
  • AppleTV works -> Bottom Centre the opening of the Morning Show
  • SideCar works (iGPU enabled in UEFI and set as headless)

Whoever wants to test other shikigva flags on 10.15.4 Beta is welcome to do and report their findings.

@WizeMan Good to hear. Now I must wait Public release to test

By the way a moderator on /r/hackintosh told me that with iMacPro1,1 SMBIOS, iGPU disabled and shikigva=128 DRM works on 10.15.3 since December with Polaris Ellesmere. If you are willing to lose SideCar and hack your way into having proper CPU Power Management and Utilisation you can give it a go with 10.15.3 as well :)

@Chris1111, Asentientbot , others

Anyone got this to boot with legacy NVIDIA cards .

Fro me after update download and install and after the first reboot from install macos from macos Catalina data it panics immediately which shows something like

Panic memory stack overflow, starting system mach reboot.

Like immediately after apfs driver loading , does clover need modification.

But I can boot into the 10.15.3 install from here and then reapplying the update leads to same.

Asentientbot and other have reported success , but on macs , any suggestions?

Thanks
