So what are the chances of me getting this working with the system in my sig?

 

P4 3.4ghz Prescott

Asus P4C800-E

2x1gb G.Skill PC3200

NEC 3520 DVD burner

WD 74gb Raptor - SATA

ATI Radeon x1950GT AGP

I have HotISO 10.4.6 running on a very similar system - same MB, same DVD and ATI X800 AGP video. Everything works - sound, usb, network, even QE/CI video! I am not using SATA drives however, just IDE. Didn't do ANYTHING special for the video - it just came up working fine. That's a very compatible MB as far as chipset, sound, USB and networking is concerned.

 

I have 10.4.9 (uphuck 1.3) but haven't tried it yet on that system. It's working fine on an IBM T41 laptop however after a few minor tweaks.

I definitely will reinstall my system when you release V1.4. I am a ATI x200 user and I have to install OSX into external HD before clone to internal HD. But your V1.3 is the only release worked on my notebook (Toshiba A105-S1013)

Well I was referring to this thread. And if it cant be done, couldnt i just copy the iso to an emulated image and use your method to edit the iso there, then copy it back to my windows partition and burn it, then finallly installing osx86 natively? Id rather know if this is possible first b4 i try it as ive heard that vmware is slow so usb copying would take ages.

Of course you could, but it wouldn't do you any good, as the driver DOES NOT SUPPORT YOUR CHIPSET. By a new (older) motherboard and CPU, or buy a Mac. It has nothing to do with your hard drive, and everything to do with your motherboard's SATA controller.

I've got it...But...IT doesn't work for me...ACPI error, and still do even if I disable ACPI functions.

 

 

AMD Athlon 64 3400 Venice core 2.2 ghz, sse3

Asus A8R-MX/SI

1024 mb ddr2700(main ddr3200 died)

ATI Xpress 200

 

I've tried -v, -x, platform=x86pc, platform=acpi(Something like that), acpi=off, and none of them worked...

Chipset eh? Well that sucks. I cant believe that I need to open up my pc and go beyond just removing drives as thats all i am comfortable with doing.

 

uphuck, could you add support for geforce 6150 le chipset, asus A8M2N-LA mobo and the other stuff in my sig for your v1.4 if you havent already please?

Hi, i'm curently downloading uphuck dvd, 84% done.

Here is my pc specs:

 

CPU: intel core 2 dui E6400

MB: Gigabyte 965P-DS3

HDD: Samsung SpinPoint P, 250GB, 8MB, SATAII, NCQ

RAM: 2x apacer 1Gb

Video: ATI radeon X1600 512 Mb

 

Will I have some problems?

great release, works awesome... is there a possibility to donate? it is really worth it.. ;)

 

my specs:

- C2D E6400

- Gigabyte 965P-DS4

- 4 Gig Ram DDR2 800Mhz

- MSI 7900 GTO (needs to be flashed, no QE/CI so far)

- 80GB Seagate (for OSX)

 

sound an lan working out of the box.. some issues with mounting my windows partitions, but thats ok..

It's working extremely smoothly on my AMD 3000+ system. Took me a while to get it setup since i had never done it before and ran into a few problems. Im trying to get sound and USB 2.0 working as currently i can only use my USB mouse and keyboard but not my ipod or usb pen drive which is quite wierd, any help would be appriciated. Also i cant get OS X to recognise my inbuilt AD1980.

 

For USB 2.0, download the latest IOUSBFamily kext for your OSX version from Apple. Then download and follow the instructions for PCGenUSBEHCI.kext from orByte (do a search on his username in the forum and you will find his software and instructions).

 

They have worked great for me on two desktops and one laptop.

Given the info I've provided about my system, and the details on multiple installation attempts, is there anything anyone can think of that might help me to get up and running? Even if it's a "RTFM", so long as there's a link or something to "R" attached?

I know this is a lot to ask for, but here is my wishlist for v1.4

 

Support for the Intel 82566DC onboard NIC

Full QE/CI support for the Radeon X1300 Pro

Support for installs on an ICH8/8-R chipset

 

That's all I want for Christmas :)

hi, I installed, but it wont boot, dont show any error just hangs on black bios screen. Specs above. What to do?
Check that your SATA controllers are in the correct modes.

Hello all,

 

First all, thanks to uphuck for this great work and all others here for useful advice! I've been messing around with OSx86 since I discovered deadmoo's image in late 2005 (I think!) and unfortunately, since then most of my installs have never really been complete (either sound/network/video not working).

 

So I downloaded 10.4.9 v1.3 and attempted to install it on my Lenovo Y300 laptop. 10.4.6 resulted in no sound, no network (even though ethernet is detected), no wireless (which I have discovered is a persistent issue) but otherwise fine.

 

Installation completed as I hoped: I chose the Universal 3 kernel and ICH7-M (as that is what's listed in my service manual i945GM chipset). It boots up...and I hear music, woohoo! But the screen remains dark...took a peek at the HDD light and it appears to be reading so I wait with great anticipation for the welcome screen...then the screen flashes blue and I see the mouse arrow...and it goes back to black.

 

Now, it's sitting there with a black screen and the OSx86 music playing in a loop...any ideas?

 

I'd greatly appreciate any help! Thanks!

is it possible to include the 4.10 upgrade?

 

i also have a problem with the International Input. I need the chinese input, and it works fine. But, i need to select it everytime after i restart. I don't know if this is the installation problem, or just some other errors.

Hardware:

Abit K8N Ultra (nForce 4 Ultra)

AMD 64 3700+ (SSE3)

GeForce 8800 GTS

2 GB RAM

120GB IDE HDD

 

Install works fine, but if I try to boot my Install it freezes at the "Loading Login Window" Screen.

 

I've tryed the Loginwindow Patch, but doesn't work for me.

 

Any Hints ?
