Followed all the steps and didnt encounter any problems at all. Untill i restarted the computer and attemted to start Mac OS X. It gets me to the "select startup disk" and when i select the partition i installed the mac os on it flashes something really quick and gets me right back to "select startup disk". Commands like -x wont work, i tried everything. I have no problem booting Vista. I have an Intel dual core2 1.5 Ghz (supports SSE2, SSE3) with Vista. 2 gb ram 200 gb HDD Can anyone please help. Dead Snake Posted January 8, 2008 Share Posted January 8, 2008 I'm installing it on my GA 965p DS3 E6300 PX6800GS seagate SATA with this settings intel 10.4.9 SSE3-2 no patches driver: ich-8,jmicron,viasata/ata,azalia but it can't reach the login window... the error is different from time to time....but usually about some PCI IDE device.... where did I go wrong? Fortran Posted January 8, 2008 Share Posted January 8, 2008 OK, i downloaded and installed this succesfully on a custom pc with the following specs P4 2.66 Ghz ECS (P4M800PRO-M) eVga 6200 (agp) 1gb RAM ... and blah blah ... the usual Everything (including USB) were fully functional i updated the Via LAN and Audio kexts ( got the stereo fix ) but as soon as i loaded the Punk92 nvidia drivers, the system froze and crashed, ..... i erased the HD completely ... and started over again .... (this time i WAS going to load either Diabolik or Titan) but the drive wont boot the OS anymore .... (only OSX is installed in this drive, no partitions) so i figured it was probably a missing boot flag since all i got is the blinking cursor ... i started up with Gparted, but what do i see ... a Fat32 (200 MB) partition -boot (flag) an HFS+ (38 GB) partition (no flag) and a third unformated partition at the end of the disk .... (no flag) how in did the drive got partitioned like that if on disk utility i remember setting a MacOS Journaled+ (GUID) partition which would set the drive with only 1 partition and boot from that one ... what am i doing wrong ??? I have been trying to install MAC OS X 10.4.9 and everything goes well until after the reboot. I pick the OS to boot to and then all the code scroll up my screen than another window comes up with more information and it hangs. I am attaching what that window is telling me.
