[pre-release] macOS High Sierra

I successfully updated to DP7 now that I have resolved the problem with video not loading.  However, I cannot update from the App Store.  When my laptop restarts, it does not go into installation mode.  Rather, it simply reboots and never installs.  I am only able to update using the recovery partition and selecting install a new copy of OS.  The one downside to this is that it requires me to download the full 5 GB installer rather than just the update.  Still, it installs easily now.

One thing I noticed (of a very minor nature) is that it does not appear that the cosmetic fix for AirPort Extreme works any longer.  My system information reports that I have a third-party wireless card.  Anyone else experience that?

new beta installs clean on my box, but still getting the same 'unable to update firmware error' if my NVME (which is partitioned for windows EFI) drive connected.  Curiously, I have other Windows drives and SATA SSDs installed, and their presence don't hose the High Sierra beta installer.   Very strange because the Firmwares.scap file (which was downloaded/installed by the App Store when I downloaded DP7) is on a SSD EFI partition with 10.12.6 installed on it.  Firmware update takes place once the NVME drive is not connected.  Strange.

My beta 7 was 2.2 Gb or thereabouts. Although it might have downloaded extra during the upgrade process.

I must say, the last few upgrades have been completely painless. App store has told me, I click on upgrade and it does it. Feels like a real mac :P

Installation Notes
  • Updated to latest Clover r4182, removed FF/FFM/PF and BIOS ver/release date/Board-ID data from config.plist to allow Clover to inject up to date values --> avoid error while "verifying firmware"
  • Latest apfs.efi driver in /EFI/CLOVER/drivers64 or /EFI/CLOVER/drivers64UEFI
  • On my legacy systems, made sure to remove all NVRAM.plist files from all EFI partitions (including the installer USB), ran sudo NVRAM -c command in terminal to reset NVRAM
  • On my Skylake NUC, I don't need or use EmuVariableUefi-64 ---> avoid OSInstall.mpkg damaged/missing error
  • Have multiboot Windows 10/Linux Mint 18.1/macOS High Sierra but 200MB EFI partition is standard "Apple" EFI (first partition) shared with Windows 10 boot-loader ---> avoid error while "updating firmware" due to presence of Windows EFI on second disk partition.

I got the same issue also on DP6, though the install Data was there so i just added a custom boot entry within Clover for it. The installer showed up into the boot menu and booted and updated fine.

Same here at first boot after updating, but after a reboot it showed AirPort Extreme again (AirPortBrcm4360: 6b100000 750d -> 6b100000 9090)

@Sherlocks, Hi! For the MacPro5,1 Platformdata:

From the previous Beta5  MP51.88Z.0083.B00.1707271620

From the current   Beta6  MP51.88Z.0084.B00.1708080528

But I don't know exactly FF & FFM ( I have nowhere to get it).
