Riley Freeman
I think it's needed if your sensor isn't fully supported by LPCSensors. I don't install it here.
TimeWalker75a
It's needed if your SIO chip is not supported by LPCSensors at all, means you can only monitor EC registers to obtain temp/rpm/voltage/power data.. Here's an example of such a case: https://raw.github.com/Dolnor/Vostro-3450-Fan-Override/master/custom_ssdt.dsl

vatoesse
Can someone explain how the formula for manually adding sensor info works? My memory is showing 0.096, when it should be 2.096. I'm looking at other keys like Main 5V for my board that have +630 gain, but the highest I can make it go is 1.999 and then it resets back to 0.000 :\ ( Vref - Vraw ) / Vraw (2.096 - 0.096) / 0.096 2 / 0.096 20.83 So I put 2083 in gain for memory, and still get 0.096, I think there's a bug, no matter how you work out the math it won't show a reading higher than 1.

Zprood
Hi kozlek, i have some questions about customise ACPIMonitor for laptop. Even though HWsensors isn't support laptop well. First, i can make sure there are some sensors in the field of EC with AIDA64 under Windows. It works with Slice's monitor version by patching. Like this: And i can see the "Platform Profile - DISABLED" which is under "ACPI Customizable Monitoring Plugin" section is disabled by default. I try to correct it, but no good luck. My question is, how can i add customise keys in the Platform Profile, make it read dsdt EC registry(i can find key spec in the sources)?
Dr. Hurt
HWmonitor says my cpu heatsink temp is 126C and my ambient is 73C. It also lists 3 fans without stating speeds (Mainboard fan 5, System fan 1, power fan). Is there anyway I could fix this?

nyolc8
I have problems with the latest version. Using old 5.1.68 HWMonitor package: Using the latest 5.3.891 HWMonitor package: With the latest version I lost two temps in iStat widget and lost one temp in HWMonitor App. I didn't tested between these two versions so I don't know when this got broken... TimeWalker75a
ACPI sensors are meant for that, not LPC sensors. You have to code ACPI methods that pull fan speed readings.
