Well, this might be a bit off topic but my MBP hung upon installing this build (the first time).  Got stuck on "17 minutes remaining". I had to force reboot it to get it installed. :))

Amazingly enough I got no such issues on my hack. :))

That's just it. macOS High Sierra is running much more better on any hackintosh that I've tested so far. It really sucks on genuine Apple computers  :hysterical: I tried 3 different generations of iMacs and my MacBook Air.

Installed High Sierra Beta 4.  Installation was easier this time and I could install from App Store for the first time.  Lid sleep still does not work.  Sleep from the menu bar or power window works as it did in Beta 3, but the OS hangs when I wake my laptop from sleep.   It starts to wake up and I get video and wifi connection but it hangs after a second or two and requires a hard reboot.  Lastly, my generic brightness kext does not appear to be working for the first time in Beta 4.  The slider still moves but the screen does not dim or brighten.  The screen does not dim on battery either.

EDIT:  Spoke too soon.  A kextcache rebuild and generic brightness kext was back in working order.

Update went fine with OZ on my Desktop but struggled on my Thinkpad with Clover. If you use VoodooPS2 with HighSierra make sure to remove the kext before the 2nd Stage installer begins otherwise it'll freeze before entering the 2nd stage. Once the install finished you may put it back it'll work as before...

Can iGPU and dGPU be used together?

If intel injection is set to true, it will stack at startup, and display blackout.

(It will work if it is only one of the GPUs)

Thanks to PMHeart for patch for _cpuid_set_info() and thanks to gengik84 for simplified Nvidia wed driver patching :-)

All is working as previous beta!

Simplified Web Driver patching?

The new APFS is working much faster on a mechanical HDD (7200RPM 6GB/s) and no kext cache cleanup is needed anymore. (Clean Install)

They fixed the language chooser on the welcome screen. But the hard disks icon in the side bar is still the same, I have to drag them manually to the side bar. Turning the "Hard Disks" on and off in the finder's side bar preferences still doesn't work.

I'm installing it on a 5400 RPM 3GB/s right now.

Any news about ICH10 and problem with waiting for root device? DB4 still not working.

Unfortunately, DB4 still uses AppleAHCIPort.kext ver329 which malfunctions on ICH10 chipsets and also on my 5 series LGA1156 motherboard (GA-P55aUD3).  I get an error that the disk attached to my SATA0 port is unable to be read....

Fixed by replacing with AppleAHCIPort.kext ver328 from DB2/Public Beta1...

Quick Update:

macOS High Sierra build 17A315i is working ok with my 320GB 3GB/s SATA 5400 RPM HDD.

Still need to run the kext cache cleanup and rebuild kernelcache to get it to work smoothly.

How to run the kext cache cleanup and rebuild kernelcache. I don't remember.
