Hello,

I have now added WhateverGreen.kext along with your clover.zip file

Now in verbose mode every thing went fine.. Point last stuck at

kextd stall [0] (240s) 'AppleACPICPU'

kextd stall [1] (240s) ...

kextd stall [2] (240s) ...

Stucked at black screen ending with above 3 lines for 5- 10 minutes..

Since then it is stucked at Black Screen with apple white logo and loader. Mouse Cursor has vanished and no progress is being shown since last 15 minutes..

I am booting again and creating a video for you...

I never told you adding WhateverGreen.kext

Yes but one of my friend told me that WhateverGreen kext also works some  times when you have DSMOS errors.

WhateverGreen kext is not for the 5450

did you have put the good kext for your Optiplex 780 on 10.12 Clover/kexts folder

Hello

I  have removed HWmonitor and other kexts. but still i am getting same error: DSMOS has arrived and then after few seconds Screen goes off.

But before monitor becomes black, some lines popup on screen very rapidly which are difficult to read or identity.

See attached file for my current KExt folder

DSMOS has arrived is not an error! Actually, it means everything's OK.

That's because the 5450 won't work with High Sierra. You need to rollback some kexts from 10.12 and you'll need a working setup to do that.

You should stuck on Sierra for now.

To me it is working as an error. After DSMOS has arrived. Screen goes to black. Monitor , mouse and keyboard is turned off but CPU remains On ..

It just means that your 5450 has lost signal which is normal since it's unsupported by High Sierra.

Have you tried the same CLOVER folder with Sierra? I'm pretty sure it will work :).

- Dell Optiplex 780
- Intel Core 2 Duo 3 8400
- 4GB DDR3 RAM
- 320 GB HDD   (Whole PC cost me US $55 or 5500 Pak Rupees)
- Graphics Card PNY Geforce 210 1GB ( Used Graphics Card cost me $30 or 3000 Pak Rupees. Graphics card is little costly as its difficult to find graphics cards in Pakistan)

Yes sure.

This is was just a test PC.

I am upgrading  this to Quad Core and 8 GB RAM. I have created this for students who have low budget and want to learn iOS development. So i don't think any one will afford HDD. and yes if any one who can afford SSD, then i will suggest him to use SSD. I will put complete article on Insanely mac soon.

Some news:

Without Injector iGPU many AMD graphics cards no longer work with HighSierra.

However I have made a rollback of Sierra with following Kext's and the Optiplex780 works:

AMDRadeonX3000.kext

AMDRadeonX3000GLDriver.bundle

IOAccelerator2D.plugin

IOAcceleratorFamily2.kext

Unfortunately of course not update safe.

Audio works with flags -alcbeta -lilubeta and HDMI audio works as always with Shrike.

I'm on high Sierra 10.13.2 and my audio isn't working. You mind sharing those graphics kext with me so I could get graphics and full acceleration to work with my ati 5450 with 100268E0 please?  I"m using Nvidia 310 now and boot up is so slow. Whenever I boot up with the 5450, I jus get a black screen..

Too big for the 10MB upload limit.

Do not you have a Hackintosh with Sierra 10.12.6 ???
From 10.12.6 S/L/E...:
AMDRadeonX3000.kext
AMDRadeonX3000GLDriver.bundle
IOAccelerator2D.plugin
IOAcceleratorFamily2.kext
... and replace them in HS! Rebuild Cache!

Hello everyone,

I have a small problem with a High Sierra installation on an Optiplex 780 (Q9650 / 3.00GHz, GeForce 310M). I installed without much problem and it works (graphics card, usb, Firewire card, I would see the sound after).

My concern is that when I do update 10.13.2, mac osx reboot before updating! (on the option Mas osx update in Clover).

I installed Clover UEFI on the EFI partition and I still have access to version 10.13.0.

An idea ? :)

I installed the kexts from my 10.12.6 to my optiplex 755 sff running 10.13.2 and im still not getting qe/ci.  One strange thing is, the device id is shown as different from clover bootloader than it shows under DPCIManager.  Could that be a reason?

Hi MacPeet,

I did not see your answer and I came to put the solution;) Which is exactly what you say :)
It is necessary to put the last version of Lilu (1.2.1 to date) and the last of AppleALC. By cons I have a GeForce 310 M (I know it's old but it's recovery). The ID is 0x0a66, I must also patch the DSDT? I used a DSDT from the first post without the HD5440 patch. Normally it seems to work I have PC Partner GeForce 310 M as recognized.

Thank you for your answer ;)
