    AppleALC — dynamic AppleHDA patching

@tyufhl That's a lot better! Still a little background noise so if you think you can improve it again that would be great. Otherwise, it will be sufficient enough for me ;).

    AppleALC — dynamic AppleHDA patching

@Andres ZeroCross Hello, My specs: Acer Aspire V3 772G Realtek ALC282 Layouts tested : 3, 4, 13, 27, 28, 29, 76, 86, 127 Currently, 28 gives best results but not perfect I don't know for sure but since I'm using 10.14.4 beta, I'm loosing audio after sleep. Everything worked fine before and I never had to use CodecCommander nor SSDT. So I tried using CodecCommander in L/E w/o success. I suspect something changed but I can't tell if it's the OS or AppleALC ALC282 resources. Anyway, mic is not working well, there's noise when it's used. I don't use it often and that's why I didn't paid attention to it until now and this annoying sleep issue. Maybe there's something wrong… Could you please have a look on this? Thanks Files
  4. Your macOS Install app seems incomplete (it should be around 5 Gb). Re-download it from the Mac App Store and make a new usb pen.
  5. Make sure you installed both AppleALC.kext and Lilu.kext and delete any realtekALC.kext and/or VoodooHDA.kext you may have installed in your system. Rebuild kernel cache using Kext Wizard or any kext management tool then reboot. As for the Mac App Store, check that your Ethernet connection is set as en0 (you can see this in System Profiler) : If not, delete all network interface in System Preferences > Network and also, delete this file : Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/NetworkInterfaces.plist Again, reboot then add your Eternet interface first.
  6. Try the attached files and report please. Archive.zip

    [pre-release] macOS Mojave

Should we rename it as CLOVERX64.efi or leave it as it?
  8. Thanks to both of you, that did the trick! I'm using a Maxwell GTX 750 Ti (GM107) so I just used another device-id (DE10BC0F actually) and HDMI audio was back! BTW, it also works fine in 10.13.5 DP1
  9. 1st. Unless I'm mistaken, you shouldn't need AppleIntelCPUM in config.plist nor NULLCPUPowerManagement.kext. Your CPU should have native support. Anyway, if it works then use one of them or both. 2nd. 'No signal' probably mean that SMBios is wrong. Optiplex series used to work with iMac10,1 but it looks like that those who have NVIDIA GPUs has this problem. I guess using iMac12,2 or possibly iMac14,2 will solve the issue. As for the missing Driver64UEFI folder, I'd say it's a recurrent mistake in every Optiplex 7xx/9xx I've seen so far since none of these models has a UEFI Bios. Therefore, the Drivers64UEFI folder is never used so it's not needed .
  10. @9000RPM Try this : https://drive.google.com/open?id=1ZAmSm81qXz4jG1K8sRVk1qmFCSXxk3_V
  11. You can't just copy the entire EFI partition, you also need to install Clover in Legacy mode (boot0af or boot0ss) on it. Then, you can replace - not merge - the installed CLOVER folder with your own CLOVER folder.
  12. Try this new DSDT.aml and set 15 in config.plist > Devices > Audio > Inject : DSDT.aml.zip
  13. Yeah, that's normal. You need to reinstall an original AppleHDA.kext since AppleALC.kext is now the preferred solution. It's native and overall quality is better than VoodooHDA.kext. It should also brings HDMI audio support for your NVIDIA card.
  14. Well, I made some edits in the DSDT but for the most part, I simply re-used some files that are available in another thread : https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/312656-guide-macos-sierra-1012-dell-optiplex-780-760-755-790-990/ But TBH, the whole Optilex Guide series is quite a mess so I personally use my own set of files that works perfect since Yosemite 10.10 with some minor adjustments. So what I did is basically adapt them to your rig and as expected, it worked. That said, I suspect that you didn't use the Working Optiplex 790 (990): 790_Clover.zip provided in the OP in the first place. I think you should have started from this point . Anyway, glad it worked for you !
  15. Try this CLOVER folder : https://drive.google.com/open?id=1eNYz_vs1t9vH6ob05X_sO6emTeFFO-b6
  16. Remove CLOVER/themes folder if any.
  17. In the meantime, put this in EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/patched (rename existing DSDT.aml to DSDT2.aml if any) : DSDT.aml.zip
  18. Post your CLOVER folder please.
  19. Well, are you sure you installed Clover the right way on your HDD? I mean, did you copy/replace (and not merged) the whole CLOVER folder of your USB pen to the EFI partition of your HDD? Sorry, it's very late here in France so I'll come back after sleep .
  20. Actually, you shouldn't need to install the webdrivers with a GT710 so question is : did you try without them? BTW, what's the video output you're using for your monitor?
  21. There's no kext responsible for the USB port in Clover. Not sure what you mean by 'As the USB ports work in clover' . In short, Apple has changed its USB management since El Capitan and that's why we need to use Injectors to bypass the limits they have set. So basically, you need to tell where are your USB ports in a kext so macOS will see them. Unfortunately, it's hard to tell where are those addresses since you can't even boot in macOS with at least one working. Maybe you can try another SMBios that will enable both USB ports and GTX graphics. I suggest you to try the iMac12,2 for instance. Of course, you'll also need to edit the info.plist of USBInjector.kext accordingly! And remove both USBInjectAll.kext and Kext Patches in config.plist.
  22. First, put USBInjectAll.kext in EFI/CLOVER/kexts/10.11 or Other (this folder will load any kext regardless the running macOS version). Second but optional, add this in Kernel and Kext Patches of you config.plist : Name : AppleUSBXHCIPCI Find : 83bd8cfe ffff10 Replace : 83bd8cfe ffff1f Comment : 10.11 change 15 port limit to 30 MatchOS : 10.11.x Reboot and pray that all your USB ports will work !
  23. Well I guess that's because USB port mapping is different on 755 series… You could try USBInjectAll.kext to see if you can determine the correct ports number.
  24. Yes, just rename the original to say, config2.plist and you'll be able to load it at the Clover boot screen. You'll have to hit the O key (not the 0) and choose config.
