This could be the reason The problems arose from the first beta... disabling the SecureBootModel everything works fine

Try

Edit:

if it doesn't download leave it on default, before restarting change from default to disabled

Not sure if this belongs here or not.

I just updated my AMD rig to 14.4 beta 3 but prior to rebooting to apply the update I replaced the original IOSkywalkFamily.kext with the new one from this thread, no other changes.

All my icons in the top right bar are gone.

I cannot access WiFi settings at all.

I have cleaned NVRam.

I have applied the root patches again for OCLP without any luck.

What other changes are required?

Prior to 14.4 I had been using OCLP without issues.

I guess you must apply root patch from OCLP 1.4.0 beta, are you using the official 1.3.0?

Yes official 1.3.0.

I did manage to just get this fixed by running 1.4 from source and i could not build the binary.

@eSaF @Antonuccio

AFIAK SecureBootModel=Disable won't interfere with getting the incremental update, in my experience when SecureBootModel is set Default it won't let the installation begin after reboot.

In addition I'm using iMac19,1 (2019 iMac) with RestrictEvents.kext enabled and I'm doing the (incremental) update to beta3 as I write this message.

Yes, in fact, I receive and download the updates with SBM disabled (with both clover and oc ) , I told someone ( eSaf 🙂 ) to leave it as default before restarting for the installation in case it doesn't download switch to disabled

with iMac19,1 you shouldn't need RE... at least in my case I get update notifications

Go here and get:

Resolve 14.4 T1 supportCI - Build wxPython #1421: Commit 5788e06 pushed by educovas >> OpenCore-Patcher.app (GUI)

No need of compile.

@Antonuccio

Yes, iMac19,1 doesn't need RestrictEvents to get updates notifications, RestrictEvents is needed for iMacPro1,1 or MacPro7,1.

@miliuco
Legend, thank you.

I stand corrected, now i cannot even login without an instant KP and reboot using the link provided.

Guess I need to do a fresh install now as cannot undo root patches if i can't login.

you can try to revert it via recovery from terminal maybe

mount -uw "/Volumes/Macintosh HD"

bless --mount "/Volumes/Macintosh HD" -bootefi --last-sealed-snapshot

reboot

( replace Macintosh HD with the name of your disk )

It was a fresh install already so another fresh one isn’t going to hurt. Guess I’ll try an artifact from earlier and see how that goes.

Sonoma macOS 14.4 Beta3 successfully installed on the problem iMac late 2013...

But the Broadcom WIFI does not work as with Beta2 with OCP 1.4.
Does anyone here have the same iMac late 2013 running with WiFi?

does WiFi work there?

My BCM4352 WiFi working at Sonoma 14.4 beta3 if booted by Clover 5157 or OpenCore 0.9.4.

That's correct, I guess I forgot to remove the kext after I switched to iMac19,1 SMBIOS from MacPro7,1.
