I've been working on my hacki for a long time now (see signature).
OCLP 1.4.0 doesn't work here, does it?
Here at hacki I only had OpenCore 0.9.4, for example.
How do you go about reviving the WiFi on the Sonoma Beta3?
thanks for your help

By the way, WLAN is finally running on the iMac late 2013 after I inserted the new IO80211FamilyLegacy.kext with 11.1 MB into the kex folder.

to time runs OC 0.9.4 on my Hacki

Hey guys,

Just a small update on my BT issue. Looks like BT400 is not working with Sonoma (probabil not supported since Monterey), and adding BrcmFixup only helps with the audio part, not the mic, but BT500 IS working, including the mic. You still need the kexts though. But at least now it's working.

So, in case anyone is wondering if there's a solution to this, yeah, the easiest one would be upgrading the dongle to an Asus BT500.

@Antonuccio Your link to the IOSkywalkFamily-v1.1.0.zip file contains the IOSkywalkFamily.kext Version 1.0 and NOT Version 1.1.0 that the zipfile makes me believe it should contain.

My Sonoma 14.4 beta 4 WiFi does NOT work with with the OpenCore-Patcher version 1.4 probably because of the incorrect IOSkywalkFamily.kext version that I have downloaded from the link you provided.

At the moment I am stuck as I cannot find the correct version 1.1.0 of the IOSkywalkFamily.kext on the web.

Would appreciate if somebody could provide me a link to that file which actually contains version 1.1.0.

Greetings Henties

Here is the correct version kext. Or if you prefer the Link - You can simply download the updated IOSkywalkFamily kext from the repo: https://github.com/dortania/OpenCore-Legacy-Patcher/tree/main/payloads/Kexts/WifiIOSkywalkFamily.kext.zip

@eSaF Thanks for the file as well as the link, however the links yields version 1.0 of the IOSkywalkFamily kext and the downloaded zipfile also only contains version 1.0 of the same kext. With that kext and OCLP 1.4 I cannot get Wifi going on Sonoma 14.4 beta 4 with the Broadcom Wifi/BT card.

Thanks in any case for trying to help me.

Hi friend, I just tried again and replaced the kext with the one I linked... well, here everything works like clockwork
If it crashed, it's definitely not the fault of the kext I linked also because I always put the source and never the zipped kext also out of respect for the devs... you're probably doing something wrong in the configuration...I am sorry

@eSaF the IO80211ElCap-v2.0.1.zip file you now provided to download seems unrelated to my needs in order to get WiFi working with my Fenvi card.

In the interim I applied an old "trick" that I usually try when the wheels seem to have fallen off, and that is just switching the machine off, isolate from power, for a few seconds. In this instance it worked, with WiFi now working with my Broadcom based Fenvi Pcie card.

The problem seems to have been memory retentivity. By isolating the machine from power for a few seconds it actually clears or rather releases all occupied memory address locations so that nothing, no code, remains that could interfere with the loading of new stuff. This phenomenon may well be unique to the memory I am using in my hacks.

@Antonuccio thanks also for your input, much appreciated. The IOSkywalkFamily kext I am now using is still version 1.0 which is wrapped in the downloaded zipfile with an extension of 1.1.0

Strange things happen in strange places.
