@gino8080 I used the same setup as yours. My monitor has 1 DP (hookup to nvidia for 144hz gsynz) and 1 HDMI (hookup to AMD), it auto detects the sources, and with AMD disabled in device manager in windows, the monitor automatically pickup signal from Nvidia card. Not sure if your monitor can do that.

What's the price of 2080 in your area? It's a much better choice buying used 2080.

hey guys, thank you once again for the great Tutorial and the EFi Files. I have a similar setup, however when doing my Benchmarks I do not get over a multicore score higher than 6600. Others with an i7 processor seem to get a much higher result (check out this setup: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/success-pynty-mac-i7-8700-z390-i-aorus-pro-wifi-16gb-ram-sapphire-rx-580-mojave-10-14-3.271145/ which is almost the same). generally my Hackintosh feels laggy.

Any advice for what could be the reason?

Specs of my Setup:

-Saphire radeon RX580

- 2 x 16GB G Skill Trident Z Ram DDr 4 at 3200 MHz (32 Gb total)

- Samsung SSD 970 EVO Plus 1TB installed as NVMExpress

- Aorus Z390 Pro

- Intel Core I7-8700

- Corsair H60 cooler

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Simon

Hi,

if your using a 8700 non k variant then the correct smbios you should be using is 19,2 or macpro1,1

give one of them a try with new details and that should help.

also make sure your settings and z390 pro motherboard bios firmware is F11 and your using the bios settings per this guide.

we have a bios profile that you can load into your motherboard that will give you all the correct settings and MSR Unlocked

But I am using an 8700K variant (sorry I misspelled earlier)

I tried anyways and still the same issue.

use the MacPro1,1 EFI attached to the guide and try again and make no changes to the EFI other then your new details.

you can also send me a copy of your EFI and myself or @larabeewill check over it for you.

your score on geekbench shouldn’t be low like that.

@seimen_x do you have a windows partition that you can run geekbench on to make sure it’s not the system itself scoring low?

Thank you for looking into it. uploaded it on my Evernote:

thank you so much for your help!

To clarify, what do you mean specifically by only changing my details? Are you referring to Serial No, and SMUUID?

thank you

EDIt 1_ just tested it again with the Mac Pro 1.1. EFI:

Score is the same (see screenshot).

You are using Geekbench v 5.0 with new scores formula. Therefore, this is perfectly NORMAL. 100% fine. THey changed everything with the new version...

8700K gets around 1100-1200 and 9900K with default clock and voltage will get around 1350-1400 geek score 5.0
