DJHuang
Hi, Souv, I have a P4 2.8G, Nvidia FX5200 video card, Realtek 6189 and Intel 82557 ethernet interfaces PC box and do have the same problem as you. But mine was panic when try to initiate the network card. Still trying to solve it. :-) djhuang Hey all,I have burned JaS's iso, it can boot, but right when I get the first apple, the screen becomes gray from top to the botton is a few seconds, and the setup tells me to restart. There's no way around it it seems... I checked the favious posts about this, but maybe it's a new bug with this ISO. I have a P4 2.4G, ss2 enabled. Nvidia card, M-audio, 1G ram. What I'll try to do in a few minutes is unpluging my XP drive, and try to install with the other one... If someone knows the answer to this, please, do share it. Off to trying it once more Edit: took a screen of the -V in case that could help Edit 2: Checked with the wiki, my Audio card is compatible, my motherboard is too, graphic card too... Quasimidi
Thank to JaS and others to create this ISO. Question: it seems Demon@id is down at the moment. Is there any other source to get JaS PPF patch for 10.4.6 iso? tokyomonster
'Allo guys. First off HUGE thanks to JaS and the entire OSX86 community for all the hard work. I'll be sure to seed this {censored} as much as possible. Secondly..I'm a bit of a noob..I tried installing the dev x86 a while ago, and that didn't go well, so I'm hoping this will work better.. Anyways..I had a few questions.. First.. I have an AMD atholon 64 3200(the 754 pin) with a rosewill ati 9600 a gig of ram nvidia nforce chipset.. anyone have similar specs get this to work? secondly i have no idea what ppfs and all of this patching stuff is(well i know what it is)but not how to go about doing any of it. anyone have a link to some tutorials? and thirdly, anyone have success getting this dual booted? And can I use something like partition magic to partition? Thanks! Roamin'
Hi, Just tried the install, which worked fine. Upon first boot, though, all I see is a black screen with the mouse cursor (no blinking prompt as some have been seeing). I can hear the intro music playing, but nothing but black is visible. I've tried almost every combination of AMD patches from the DVD. Does anyone have any ideas? AMD64 3200 (2.0GHz / 754-pin) Asus K8N-E mobo (nforce3-250Gb chipset) ATI Radeon 9800 Pro Also, I couldn't complete an install with the following: - 10.4.6.Combo.Update - AMD.SSE2 - 10.4.6.SemjaZa.V1.2.AMD.Decrypts This seems to cause the installer to crash (installer window disappears and machine is unresponsive) right before running the post-install script for the combo update. Thanks, all. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/15178-jas-1046-install-dvd/page/6/#findComment-102397 Share on other sites

NSD
I finally got it installedwi the following options: AMD Base System SSE2 SSE3 SemjaZa v1.2 AMD Decrypts , but on the first boot I get this strange error. Any ideas, anyone ? Was I not supposed to pick SSE2 and 3 ? I should mention I had 10.4.3 up and running a while back, so I guess the hardware is compatible. Edit: I just realized I got the same error as a bunch of other people here as well ... If you read the installer it says to install the sse2 or sse3 package for your cpu .. why are so many of you installing both kernels ... I just don't understand how you could be making this mistake.Only install the sse2 or sse3 package ... not both Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/15178-jas-1046-install-dvd/page/6/#findComment-102440 Share on other sites

Hi, helob and all, Thanks for the response from all of you. Would you tell me when the installer would prompt for SSE2/SSE3 selection? Because I didn't even see the selection. I only saw the language settings and which volumn to install but not the kernel selection. Maybe it would happen after the first boot? PS: 10 minutes after I post this, I try to install again, I finally see the customized install button.
