Another class action lawsuit has been filed against Apple and AT&T, targeting the two companies' practices when it comes to the iPhone. Similar to the suit filed a week and a half ago, when Paul Holman accused Apple of entering into an unlawful agreement with AT&T that ultimately caused the two companies to commit a number of illegal acts. This includes preventing the iPhone from being unlocked and used on other carriers, as well as deleting the 3rd party applications that were on the iPhone before the update.

Despite reports to the contrary, Belkin's Network USB Hub, which enables the sharing of up to fifteen USB 2 devices over a wired or wireless network, may not be coming to the Mac after all.

Upon contacting Belkin to find out why the previously promised Mac drivers weren't delivered at the end of September, InsanelyMac received the following response from a Belkin representative:

If you believe that this fantastic piece of equipment should be brought to the Mac, have your say here. The device even shares the same dimensions and style as Apple's current AirPort Extreme base station. Come on Belkin, sort it out!

Today, Apple launched it's web Application directory for both the iPhone and the iPod Touch. The Application directory breaks applications down into categories: Games, News, Sports and Weather. Each application listing provides a short description of that application's function, the name of its developer, associated web addresses, and the date the application was approved and posted to the official company list.

    New MacBooks with Leopard?

    By Numberzz, in OSx86,

Sources are telling ThinkSecret that Apple might release new MacBooks with the upcoming Leopard release. Sources believe the MacBook update will not be too big, instead having a similar speed bump the systems received last November ahead of the holiday buying season. It is unclear at this time whether this means the MacBook will maintain its current architecture and receive faster processors - the current 2.0/2.16GHz processors could be bumped to to 2.16/2.33GHz - or whether they will have the new Santa Rosa chips that the MacBook Pro got early this year.

Included in the materials was training on some of the operating system's most popular features and components, such as installation methods, Mail and Boot Camp. All signs have pointed to a release of Leopard during the week of Oct 22nd, and singling out Oct 26 for the official launch.

    By Numberzz, in OSx86,

iPhone hacker (and InsanelyMac Member) asap18 has ported several applications to the iPhone and gotten them to appear on the home screen. New iPhone Ads

    By Numberzz, in OSx86,

During football season, there is only one thing that is certain. New iPhone ads. There are three new ads, starring Doug, Elliot and Stephano. All of these ads are using everyone's favorite "switch" style that Apple uses on Mac ads. In these ads, either Doug, Elliot, or Stephano are standing in black, and talk about how the iPhone changed their lives, and then walk away to what they were doing before. It looks sort of like an interview.
