Go to Apple.com. In the 'Search' box at the upper right, type in "virus". Suprisingly, a familiar result comes up. Truth, anyone?

Always hate when people say that.. I've been running my computer for 4 years so far without an Anti-Virus program of any type and I've been virus-free since

Anybody else think that this snotty humor is getting a tad annoying and getting quite old now?

I'd agree. I ran my PC laptop for over a year, and never had a single issue with a virus.

There is a reason that this search shows the result of Windows.

One of the 'Get a Mac' ads is titled Viruses. These ads are generally against the windows operating systems, hence the result of the surch.

I am kind of tired of anti-windows ads and the suggestion that there has never been a virus (worm in the case below) for mac is wrong. I must say I was rather entertained by this though.

Mac os is just so much more secure of an OS than windows. and god forbid windows get rid of the archaic registry system...all it takes is apple to keep on acting so smug before an annoyed hacker takes it upon themselves to make apple a little more humble.

I dislike the smugness also, but you have to admit that it's a well deserved smugness.

Yes I also ran XP for many years with no problem, but I am a windows veteran as i expect most of the others who are saying similar things are and the fact is people who are inexperienced will inevitably get a virus/spyware/malware etc on windows and will not on osx.

Uhm, yeah.

I didn't even have to open the first article to see that it was made in 2005. You know, a year before Vista's release. So Vista was in "beta" then.

Since we all live in 2007, people use the 2006-2007 version of Vista.

So you're saying that there was a virus back when Vista was in beta, and probably since then has been patched by Microsoft.

Wow, got me there.
