Leopard Finalized?

Numberzz

Appleinsider is reporting that Apple has finalized Leopard. It seems as though Apple has sent its training material to its support staff. Included in the materials was training on some of the operating system's most popular features and components, such as installation methods, Mail and Boot Camp. All signs have pointed to a release of Leopard during the week of Oct 22nd, and singling out Oct 26 for the official launch.

Depends on the Tech, and it depends on how much experience you have with the beta builds.

The Leopard training modules has been readily available to me for at least a week now, and I still haven't bothered taking them, lol.

But Apple's tech has ALOT of time scheduled for Leopard training, so, don't you worry your little head.

Longer than programming an OS, apparently.

But, uhm, why the big worry on the scroll bars? The Aqua scroll bars are alot nicer, imo.

Well after they put the new scroll bars in iLife '08, I think most people thought they'd do the same with Leopard. It would be nice to have a little consistency. I think Leopard would look a lot better with the darker scroll bars, they would match with the darker theme.

It's just that Leopard would look better with iTunes 7 scrollbars than Aqua scrollbars. Aqua scrollbars don't fit well with Leopard's UI (in other words: out of place). Since iTunes 7 and iPhoto '08 have iTunes 7 scrollbars then it's clear Leopard will have them.

In other news... Apple released a new build of 10.4.11 (8S2161) to developers.

The remaining known issues are as follows:

- Unit Converter Widget Currencies are not converting correctly

- Calculator Widget is not accepting keyboard input

:)

Mac OS 10.4.11 could very well be released this week.

Well, I agree with the whole consistency aspect, but it doesn't change my opinion that the Aqua scrollbars are cooler... it adds to the visuals of the OS. AH WTF I just want LEOPARD!

And thanks for the shout-out, bedlight :(

i actually work at the geek squad at best buy, and the apple tech brought in all of the information he got, and he also got a demo of leopard so he knows whats hes doing, everything looks great on the demo, not 100% sure on like all of the visuals, but i'll see if i can't get a copy of that information.

Leopard will be the first OS I have ever bought. I think the last OS my dad paid for was Windows 3.something the box is somewhere downstairs, other OS's that came with {censored} computer that followed were already included.

Thank God I have a mac.
