New Leopard Side-Dock

Yah, i just noticed that this morning, i like it alot more than the dock on the bottom (the bottom one looks cheap)

I like it as well, nice.

I don't know why most people prefer 2d dock to 3d one. The former looks so last century. Let's not fear innovations.

So......

Who's working on a hack to make the bottom one 2d? Or will it be a matter of copying and rotating some pngs?

I think the 3D dock on the side is better than the Tiger dock on the side. They should've kept the 3D one on the side. Just my opinion.

Why not just an option to make it 2D or 3D? It's stupid that you have no decision in the matter.

Hey yeah, anyone who has that build, is there an option to make it 3D even on the side?

I think it's somewhat ironic that nobody's mentioned on Digg or any major news site that the gold master of Leopard has leaked.

After all, I'm assuming the guy who took that screen shot got his hands on the GM build, since this feature only appeared in the GM.

Well I better download it then, since I don't have money to spend and I need it to get my stupid {censored} Windows installation to work again so I can get my programming homework done so I don't fail.

That side dock looks pretty cool, better than the bottom one on tiger anyways! but i like the 3d dock aswell, so all around improvements in my opinion!

i still like tigers better, but i could live with that. i agree if they are going to do that just make it an option for 2d or 3d as well as menu bar being transparent or not and then all would be happy and complaints would minimal. on second thought the indicators with it 2d make it look older than tiger with triangles.

now can anyone make a bottom dock like this for tiger?

I'm OK with the reflective Dock, I think, but I'll try it both ways.

It does seem strange that you don't have the option to choose which style dock you want. You would've thought that would be the logical thing to do...

But, in the Leopard Guided Tour, shows the old one.. May be we have a option to choose it..

The 2D bottom dock two posts up looks way better than the 3D reflection dock. I didn't like how much wasted space the 3D dock was creating by having the icons sit a little higher than the top of the glass, expanding windows to "full screen" looked awful.

This code doesn't work with my 559..I don't Know why...

Yeah, I was reading about this in my Leopard training modules last week sometime... I thought this was always available.
