  1. Hey InsanelyMac, its been a while. I used to be very active back in the day under the name erei33 and then retired from the newsteam as I played too many PC games to have a hackintosh. Anyway I haven't been gaming, so I decided its the best time to try out OS X. Dell Studio 1558 1.6 Ghz Intel i7 720 QM (4 cores) 8 GB RAM 1 GB ATI Radeon HD5470 (working natively even before I added device ID) Ethernet works post ###### with Lnx2Mac's Realtek driver included in the latest ######. Ethernet probably works native too. Anyway for the life of me I cannot figure out wireless, I've read these stickies, I've tried all kinds of kexts from osx86.net. I've read the guides on studio 1558. I've been stuck here for a couple days, and prior to OS X I spent a miserable 4 days using OpenSuse and Linux Mint. So I'm about to the point of returning defeated to Windows 7 (which is good anyway). Theres conflicting information, my laptop either has Intel wireless n6200 or dell wireless 1520 (broadcom 4322 rebrand), even dell.com cannot tell me with my service tag. Does anyone have any idea at all on how I could get Wireless working? Any help would be greatly appreciated. It looks like next time ill pay the $800 dollar premium and go Mac Book Pro lol.
  2. Hey I want to sell my Hack to get something smaller and less fast, I don't play games anymore and I no longer need a pc like this. I was wondering how much you guys think its worth and what the best way would be to sell it : craigslist, ebay Insanelymac? Asus P5E X38 Mobo 1333 Mhz FSB Intel C2Q9300 2.5 Ghz 4 GB G Skill DDR2 1066 Memory ATI HD 3870 512 MB Western Digital velociraptor 300 GB 10,000 RPM HD 16 MB Cache Antec Neowatts 650W PSU Cooler Maser 690 Case w/ 2 extra 120 MM fans, 5 120 MM fans total
  3. obama deception

Lol even if he is or used to be a muslim (which hes not) who cares? Seriously what does that matter, freedom of religion. Judge him by his policies. Good. We need a G in office right now, hopefully he will end prohibition. This is just making Barry O sound like more and more of a badass.
  4. Terrible comment or funny joke?

I don't like either poll option, it is pretty tasteless but I wouldn't call it terrible. Either way comments like this keep us in the past, but I'm not going to get worked up when one is made, its to be expected.
  5. Bush Saves 10 Million Lives

This is something really great and humanitarian, hats off to George W ( on this one issue ).
  6. Are Mormons Christians?

Mormons are Christians, albeit loose ones. Funny how a lot of you can recognize how silly and clearly delusional Mormon beliefs are, but not others...
  7. Apple joins Google in fighting Prop. 8

Marriage is religious, not the business of the government. The definition of marriage may differ greatly from faith to faith. Denying rights to a certain group of people who have no choice as to what group they fall in is backwards.
  8. President-elect Obama

Source?? The vast majority of Americans will see LOWER taxes under Obama. The rich who are seeing increases are really only going back to levels prior to the Bush tax cuts. Withdrawing from Iraq will save us money.
  9. Apple joins Google in fighting Prop. 8

They have something similar on the ballot this year in Florida, called Amendment 2. It amends the Florida constitution to state that marriage is between a man and a women only. I would never cast a vote that only serves to put others down.
  10. Microsoft Patents Censorship Bot

The source is infowars, I'm sure its legit but its nothing that bad or to worry about.
  11. The Care & Feeding of XNU

Great interview, very informative. And thanks to all of the XNU developers
  12. The Global Economy

Cannot wait! Red Day 2008 =DDD
  13. Just downloaded it and wow am I impressed. First let me start off the OS integration: This browser feels perfectly at home in the Windows environment. The lack of any drop downs pits this browser right up with Windows Explorer and Office 07 for the 'aero-feel'. Speed seems great, controls are intuitive etc. I'm a Firefox guy through and through, and don't plan on switching; that being said Chrome is the best alternative browser I've used (yes, better than Opera) and I can see this being in a winner. I just hope it doesn't hurt Firefox

"It's a Compaq Presario" Prawker's customer support call thread. That call went on to get 804 Diggs.
