Hacked OSx86 Updated to 10.4.3

Wow! Great work to those that made this possible! The patch makes my system feel a lot better. Safari is quick, flash works great! Thank you!

Not much of an increase but my system was pretty smooth anyway before.

well,

in garageband the amp simulations are still not running.. as far as the update, I dont think this

improves any speed in SSE2 processors.. powerpc programs are still slower.

Over all its a little faster in terms of response and the updated programs are fine (safari/quicktime etc..)

but I guess its time to dump my xeons

The question is, is it justified to upgrade a current system with QE enabled and very stable? Upgrade just to get flash working is not by any means justifiable. If this is true, then is it another good step forward. At least furthur than where we all were before the patch. Without justification, i'm staying put .

Specially because the flash binary from 10.4.3 works fine in 10.4.1 with maxxuss's 10.4.2 exec patch

I also think it would be interesting to note if this update includes any of the new kexts and bundles added or updated in 10.4.3 . We need the new kexts, specially for non working NICs, sound, etc.

Also, 10.4.3 is known to be fully multilanguage, so it would also be useful to know if the patch adds this functionality.

About Kexts.. I didn't see any new kexts with this update.My via rhine does not work yet. About multilanguage support: Now I can see applications in spanish, but.. The finder's menu still stays in english (And I dunno why).

safari don't display flash

i've just have the menu on a right click

apple dvd player doesn't seems to work as well.

Updated my system and flash works. Just watched a flash, and closed safari. Loaded itunes and it was screwy: http://www.avexnet.co.uk/itunes.jpg

Loaded Safari and it just gave me some blank dialog boxes. I force-quitted itunes, loaded safari and it was fine. And itunes works now. Never seen this before. Rosetta bug? I've got an SSE3 CPU.

I no longer have Quicktime pro !

Both flash and itunes video works with no problems..also safari flys.. wooow.. I wish we had itunes as universal binary as well.

And now I have Quicktime Pro again

I wonder if it will be better to wait for a proper release. To many problems here IMO.

Dont' forguet to repair you disk permissions with disk utility and restart !!! ( before and after the update ! )

Evreything works fine here, flash player runs fine, and Quicktime plays now at 24 fps HD trailers 720p, before the update it was only 12 fps !!!

Apple DVD player is working !

But can't change the region code...
