It looks like when Steve Jobs said "See you soon" at the end of his annual MacWorld keynote, he meant it literally. Rumors have been floating around that an Apple Special Event will take place late next month or in early March. The Special Event is supposedly going to reveal the "Top Secret" features of Leopard and also introduce the new iLife 07. Apple is also expected to announce the official launch date of Mac OS X 10.5, Leopard. LoopRumors has the scoop.

LoopRumors is hearing rumblings that Apple is preparing a Special Event that should take place in February or early March. The most likely purpose of the event is to showcase the remaining 'Top Secret' features of Mac OS X (Leopard), and announce an official launch date.

Besides the introduction of Leopard, Apple may also introduce some new rumored devices such as displays, a true widescreen iPod, new Macs, and a replacement to the iSight camera.

Looks like it's time to get out the Stevenote bingo cards.

I think that Steve is going to take a Ipod, and a Mac, then duck tape them together.

Say Hello to the MACPOD.

This is why I told all those whining after Macworld, be patient. Now we are getting a pure leopard presentation. Good. Though some will still whine.....

I was not dissappointed with MacWorld at all.

See Microsoft is planning on releasing Vista on the 30th, so Apple holds back the "BOMB" 10.5 Leopard. When Microsoft releases Vista it will be a slow start the first few months, Apple then pulls out Secrety Features taking Vista and slamming it in the ground. Apple will attract more switcher than it ever has before.

The Iphone was a huge announcement, and will take Cell phones to the next level. I have heard the casual it's to expensive. The same thing I heard about the Ipod (yeah right). Plus look at it this way, we all want cool slick phones are are prepared to pay around $200 for one. We all want Ipods, and are prepared to dish out $200-300 dollars for an Ipod. The Iphone is 2 in one, actually 3 with Internet, so really its the same price, and its all in one.

The Apple TV is cool but I think there is much left to be desired. I want it to act like a Tivo and record my TV like a DVR. I want to be able to not only buy but rent movies from Itunes. However just like any Apple product the Apple TV will be subject to software updates, and there is more still to come, just wait and see.

I predict (if not this time, then soon) the release of a rental model for the iTunes Movie Store, to go along with the shipping of Apple TV.

Im going on the "I'll believe it when I see it." No predictions, no wondering. I wasn't very pleased with MacWorld as Im not getting a iPhone or AppleTV. I am really looking forward to Leopard though, but the latest build and all the bugs have me a little worried =/.

i would buy a beatles ipod in a heartbeat, that is something i would seriously camp out for. the beatles are some of the best musicians ever, better than U2 or Queen or any other band.

the beatles rule, and if they did have a beatles ipod, i would do anything for it. When they release beatles to itunes, they will see that they make tons more money, because everyone loves the beatles

Conroe-based "midrange" Mac Pro? Please? Barring that, say that 10.5 will be "unsupported" but out-of-box compatible with non-Apple hardware? *sigh* I know, either of those are about as likely as Apple announcing a buyout of Ford.

if they souped up the mac mini, stuck it in a small desktop ATX case, with a desktop conroe (user upradeable :) ) and user upgradeable graphics chip, i'd kick the whole osx86 thing in straight away.

if the price was right, tho!

(~£800 Max Steve, dont let me down!)

LMAO! February 28th... I felt bad for Steve since he was really sick with some bad cold at that keynote.

I think sometime in February or March we'll get the keynote with Leopard, iLife '07 and iWork '07, and Quad-Core Mac Pros. Nothing else.
