Smilem, I have a system that has the same motherboard and processor, but with SATA drives. It also has an agp ATI x1300 gfx card. I don't use that for OSX, but I did test uphuck's v1.2 on that system and I used the universal 2 kernel. Graphics worked out of the box with ci and qe but had the pixelation problem. Ethernet worked out of box too. Not sure if u2 on 1.2 is the same as u2 on 1.3. Good luck testing.

On my system only graphics card does not work, I have working ethernet, sound, usb, and sata intel drives, promise controller (raid mode or not) does not work. I installed in separate IDE 120 GB HDD.

It seems as drivers 008 with agpgart 1.2lite worked better and my video card was reported like AGP 430 can't remember exactly. But no resolution change.

It would be much better if drivers could be chosen during installation like SSE2 or SSE3, I mean you choose it cause your CPU supports it. Now when you need to pick drivers labeled like 003 or 008 it gets frustrated to correctly guess.

Couldn't the drivers be packaged like X700, X800 X1600 then if you have that video card you choose this package and if for some reason it does not work like your device ID is wrong you could troubleshood here in the forum by looking a solution with your problem associated with a certain package.

Had 10.4.9 installed for about 3 days now. Working so perfect and beautifully. I have a minor issue however. Whenever I boot into OS X and then switch to Vista, Vista's time clock is 6 hours off. example it displays time as 9:00 PM when infact its 3:00 PM. I check the BIOS clock after I restarted computer from OS X and it seems that OS X changes the bios clock which in turn changes Vista's clock. Anyone know how to solve this issue?

oh one more question, I realize that 10.4.10 has been released. Should I update? Is it critical that I do?

make sure you select the same timezone is osx and in vista.

MYYY godness! second time i try to get this download, this time from mininova, and it gave me different checksum..

are you guys sure that 87cfb8d2fa761dd0e2bbe00ad105fa44 is the ONLY checksum?? I downloaded twice and both times a get

AE0B16E6FOA182E8F57333EAF8303F4.

Could this really be the reason the dvd boots and seems to start but halts and doesnt even get to the installation Menu etc.? i havent hear ANYONE having that problem, i never even get to a proper menu or antyhing let alone installing.

DAMN if only someone could upload to usenet or somewhere, then it would be fast, plus i could have some par2s.

both downlods went through inferno.demonoid.. so it couldnt be a broken version alltogether... perhaps its something wrong with my setup that it freezes.

SAD SAD i am... I soo wanted to test the OS

Whenever I boot into OS X and then switch to Vista, Vista's time clock is 6 hours off.

This is a known issue switching between Windows and OS X. I have this problem on all 3 machines I have OS X installed on here. The problem is that Windows and OS X store the time differently. One sets the internal clock one way, and the other boots up and reads it a different way.

The only work around I know of is to use the "set time from internet time server" function of each when each boots up. I find that OS X generally does this instantly, so the clock fixes itself pretty fast in OS X. XP is really slow at this, and Vista is better, but sometimes I have to manually set it.

It's a pretty minor issue considering everything that's gone into getting OS X to run at all on garden variety PCs! :thumbsup_anim:

@ hirez

u have a bad file

do me a favor; read first demonoid page once it is up again, wednesday probably.

author states in writing the correct checksum.

other checksum is a fake uphuck 1.3 no mater who says is good

before demonoid crash there are about 200 seeders and donload speed was 150 to 300 k my case.

upload to usenext (usenet) would be cool,

since the torrent get 1.3kb and on usenext get 600kb /sec

also what's the difference between v1.2 and v1.3 ...

thanks, Rob

OSx86tester, you sure about that? Cause I don't remember setting my uphuck 1.3 to have any language packs on my laptop at least, and the install was fine as well as running the OS.

Just askin'.

Plus is it really true that uphuck 1.3 DVD loads all the Extensions that come with the disc when you boot off of it? Because my blue computer needs the viaata.kext that comes with this version for the ATA controller to be detected and for the OS to boot in the first place.

Plus, If any one else can pitch in on my problem (have another thread about it on the forum) that'd be great.

Don't care about anything else right now, it seems.

yea I can never get this F%^* sh$%^T to install. But a JAS DVD is fine why I have no damn clue. Blank screen blinking cursor. not even damn darwin! WTF i mean kudos for the office2004 on one dvd tight but dayum! im really stumped as to why the heck this HSit Aint installing. yup plain SSE2 I picked NATIT for video drivers I can try titan lol another 10 hours of install mayhem. if you want i can make a video and show you exactly!!!!!! what I picked. ive installed osx a grip of times. No it finds my hard drive someone or somewhere I read im not sure if this is true im starting to think the DiskUtility on the uphuck DVD dont work! meaning its messing something up. cuz JAS is FINE. remember this is a plain ol laptop so SSE2 and anything for GEforce4GO 440 ill post various pics.

So i decided to get the dvd, then after the install, nothing, i wouldn't go past the gateway boot screen..any ideas? when i install the amd, do i select the amd and the amd sse3 or just on or the other?

I think the drive is 100% dead, it wont boot up at all, with just that hd or set as slave to format...any ideas?

how do i set up Vista to automatically get the time from internet server during boot?

ok i got darwin now. hehe but! the same old song one line of buffer error 2621 cluster io buffer header. then a halted cursor. under verbose mode. One thing another person mentioned is the install size is too smal like 2.8GB like wheres the rest of the stuff??? like when you start ditching things from an OG install disk your gonna get alot of responses of people not being able to do good. I think that your disc uphuck is perfect for drivers n such once you have osx on your system. And the difference between uphuck and jas's is probably alot however Kudos on making one install disc. I'll revert and retreat to JAS :thumbsdown_anim:

After a failed upgrade from 10.4.9 to 10.4.10, attemped to erase and re-install using the 1.3 upchuck DVD.

On reboot, got the brown STOP icon. Went back to JaS 10.4.8 DVD, which installed without problem.

Attempting upgrade from 10.4.8 to 10.4.9 with the upchuck 1.3 DVD also fails.

Now running JaS 10.4.8. Waiting for a new 10.4.10 DVD installer. Or else: 10.5.0 Panther in October...

help me! i can NOT get uphucks dvd v1.3 to work on an intel machine. when installing it just says,"there were errors" and it makes me restart. i tried several different configs and disabled installing any extras. it just seems taht the intel install won't work. i've done it on 3 different computers, 2 laptops and a desktop. i've downloaded ti twice from two different trackers. i was able to isntall the AMD on an AMD machine and it finished without problems. but the intel won't. is no one else having this problem??? Jas 10.4.8 discs work fine.

uphuck installs good for me except one thing. Everytime I try to get into the network in system preferences to change my setting to get my wireless working i get the message "The application system preferences quit unexpectedlly" This is the only program so for i notice does this. Can someone help me out here?

ok after gettin both jas, and previus uphuck versions, i noticed that its my P5B-DM MAtx card or the SATA dvd drive i am using.

One of these..

Cause on my X2 system its booting fine and comes into install!!!

But i guess its this damn Q965 chipset WITH a SATA drive NO setting in bios matters.. aggghhh..

Now i need a new genuiea pig.. come to papa.. i guess no one else has this matx mb so i am out of luck.

any ideas????????? I got the drive to boot in another computer as slave, its had three patritions, but i could only delete two and format those, seems the first one which is 200mb, is messing something up on my system, cus it still wont work
