  1. What is really needed for the Aquantia LAN port situation: a sort of universal driver that works for any of the Aquantia 10, 5, & 2.5 Gb LAN controllers, and that does not require any kind of special Apple firmware flash procedure to be able to work in either: macOS or Windows or Linux. Preferably: the macOS driver would enable functioning in Sierra, High Sierra, El Capitan, and whatever 10.14 ends up being named.

@ Morea: see: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/324233-mac-os-high-sierra-installation-attempts/page-15?do=findComment&comment=2453144 The youtube author left out some of the minor details, but provided enough information for me to get HS beta installed and working.

Now shows Clover version 4106 on that Chinese language site, linked previously. If the program was written by English speaking authors, shouldn't there be an English language site for these latest builds, even if they're "unofficial"? A "Clover beta build blog", or something like that?

Can someone provide a dependable download link (on an English language web site) for the very latest Clover? Version 4103 (Clover v2.4k r4103) is listed on some Chinese language sites, such as: https://imac.hk/clover-bootload-pkg-iso-efi.html But those require a login, which don't seem to work via Google's Translate interface. The "official" Clover site only has version 4097 listed for download: https://sourceforge.net/projects/cloverefiboot/files/Installer/ Thanks.

By following this video description, getting HS beta installed and working is fairly easy (author is Pakistani): youtube: watch?v=kezN2JKmMOw <- (copy and paste) Still working on getting the audio (green port, rear) working properly, however: MSI H81M-P33 motherboard (Realtek ALC887 audio), GTX 750 video card. Only the HDMI audio appears as an option, currently.

OS X is only recognizing half of my RAM.

If you're able to dual-boot with Windows, the free program CPU-Z should be able to provide actual data in place of "unknown". http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/cpu_z.html
  8. What about this: don't write any fancy scripts or make any changes with OSX. Simply set up the Windows internet time sync function to run, whenever the system boots into Windows. Then: both operating systems can be set to the correct local time zone, and both OSX & Windows onscreen clocks show the correct local time.

@xpamamadeus: Your last "z77xud5h_mod4.f16" bios gave no visible method to simply power the machine on and then successfully boot Windows 8 to desktop. So, please: remember that the number one priority when offering any of your Ozmosis modded bioses for the Z77X-UD5H board: it must be able to boot any existing operating system without need of changing any bios settings (beyond the default bios settings: Intel SATA ports in AHCI mode, etc.). That is: nothing required for a successful boot, beyond simply hitting the F12 key and selecting whichever hard drive to boot from, and be able to successfully boot: XP 32-bit, Windows 7, Windows 8.1, OSX Mountain Lion. So: please keep at least that much flexibility inside whatever bios releases you're offering. Or, at least: warn ahead of time: "this bios release requires XYZ bios configuration changes" in order to boot Windows at all. Or: "this bios release only tested to work with a UEFI video card AND only with OSX Mountain Lion, and requires XYZ bios configuration changes (such as: disable CSM, or whatever) from default settings"; or "this bios only works with a GPT-formatted hard drive", etc. Luckily, the Z77X-UD5H board has dual bios. But even with that, there could still be a possibility for certain unlucky sequences of events to occur, that would result in a bricked motherboard.

Clarification on buying a video card with UEFI GOP already present: The onboard Intel graphics UEFI GOP firmware is (if present) included as part of the motherboard bios. Note: only applies to some Z87 and Z77 chipset boards. However: AFAIK, the latest standalone video cards do NOT include a UEFI GOP firmware. Such as: a MSI GTX 760 card, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127745 Bios update for that card (must be signed in to their forum to view download link): https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=172726.msg1257788#msg1257788 which, when sold as new, has only an empty "placeholder" spot for the UEFI GOP bios. Note: I was able to find an update for my MSI GTX 650 card elsewhere on that same forum. The UEFI GOP bios update indicates that the UEFI portion of the video card bios was digitally signed by Microsoft. Maybe by leaving to the end user the job of bios flash updating, the card makers avoid paying Microsoft some kind of royalty fee?

More "UEFI GOP VGA Bios" info needed. 1. What brand and model of video card are you using, that has the updated video card bios? 2. Is that "UEFI GOP VGA Bios" video card still usable with other operating systems, such as XP, Ubuntu, etc.? 3. Are certain brands of cards, such as MSI or Asus, easier to obtain a "UEFI GOP VGA Bios"? 4. What cautions should be mentioned when re-selling the card or re-purposing the card for use with an older non-UEFI motherboard? 5. Are any video cards available for sale now, that already include a "UEFI GOP VGA Bios"?

Anyone try taking a look at exact cloning a "genuine" Mac bios mainboard firmware? Seems like it might be possible to clone a MacBook Pro, iMac or Mac Pro's bios, for example, and make OSX behave completely natively. So that: a Hackintosh Thunderbolt port would work correctly with a PCIe video card + Apple's 27" TB monitor, for example. Yes: I'm aware that Apple uses their own special EFI firmware, which is AFAIK not accessible or configurable (unlike normal PC bioses). And yet: a Windows installer can be booted from a DVD or USB thumb drive and installed on a genuine Mac, so therefore the bios can't be all that different from a normal PC bios. Question: how does a MacPro bios firmware compare in size to the 8 Mb. bios size in current model Z87 Gigabyte boards? Can a genuine Mac bios be saved, viewed and manipulated with standard PC bios management tools, for example?
  13. Not quite understanding: are these two audio driver + bios versions designed for use with a specific Z77-UD5H board revision? Such as: 1.0 with blue capacitors, 1.0 with purple capacitors, or 1.1? Or: are these designed for general experimental use with any of these 3 board revisions?
  14. CSM is not listed anywhere, as such, in bios. The only mention of CSM on the first page of this thread is: ..................................... http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/288829-guide-gigabyte-z77x-ud5h-clover-uefi-installtweak-guide/?do=findComment&comment=1919030 "Fix for firewire bug when CSM disabled. When we disable CSM we get alot of this error in Console" ..................................... What exactly, in plain English, are you talking about: "CSM"? Suggestion: make a new thread about your Ozmosis bios, because most of what you're saying in the first page of this current thread would be totally irrelevant to an Ozmosis bios system. Correct?
  15. CSM=?? What's on screen is only: the Apple logo with white background. No opportunity visible to enter boot parameters. The system clock then needs correction after booting back into Windows. The installation was done via the Niresh 10.8.2 installer, then updated to 10.8.5 (beta version). All other install methods weren't workable.
