No, not alone ))) I also reach a black screen and mouse cursor.

Hmm...black screen + mouse cursor would be best for me. :))) At least I know what's going on. I'm not even getting that far. Keeps rebooting during installation.

Anyway, for your black screen, you might want to take a look at WEG versions. And update OC. Interestingly enough, after the latest changes, I can even boot Sequoia without WEG (disabled in config), which was weird...but good. :))

Anyway, try to get the latest versions (top ones) from here for OC and all your kexts. Especially Lilu & WEG. I hope it works for you!

I think this might be a bug in Tahoe and hopefully will be fixed in the future. I don't know. Anyway, I hope at least it will work for you.

@Shaneee which password we would enter when trying to disable FileVault in recovery after upgrading to macOS Tahoe if FileVault was not enabled in Sequoia?

The password to disable it in Recovery Terminal was my macOS login password.

OK, everything seems to be working more or less correctly on the Z690...

Hardware acceleration seems to work fine.

It is possible to switch to using a dedicated graphics card for the RX5XX graphics card if other graphics cards such as a core graphics card are used in the system. However, it is not possible to open the emulator and it will immediately go black.

I saw many people hanging on that same line as me: 509 Successfully Initialized AHCI Controller

If someone figure out how to get past that point, please, let me know! Thank you!

Hahaha 😄, if you follow the progress of my installation, you will see that it is as follows.

First, I completed the installation with the Intel HD 630 and chipset z390, then I added the Rx580 and then I transferred the entire installation to Z790 chipset .

There are no gods, there are only maneuvers.. 😇

The truth is that it was a very painful installation, but that's the joy of hackintosh.🥰

I have Polaris dGPU working in Tahoe.  I am able to use my RX 560x because my iGPU frame buffer is headed (not headless).  By enabling the Polaris dGPU without any displays connected to it, the dGPU accelerates the iGPU display ports.  This seems to suggest that the fix for everyone else using headless frame buffer will be a change to WhateverGreen or a fix in Tahoe.

See more here.

@iaihc If your RX460 is unstable in Tahoe, then I wouldn't declare victory.  The configuration I described is rock-solid.  I posted to give everyone else hope that there will be a solution for those (everyone else, I believe) who have a headless iGPU framebuffer (only using their dGPU display ports).  I have implemented an unconventional configuration where both my iGPU and dGPU heads are enabled (in DeviceProperties).

At the very least, this should offer clues to those who are attempting to implement a fix.

EDIT: In my current configuration, I have two displays connected to the two iGPU display ports on my hack and no displays connected to the dGPU display port.  The two displays work flawlessly and so far, I've had no issues in Tahoe with my RX 560x enabled.  As shown here, the dGPU provides metal acceleration on the iGPU ports.  I know there are use cases where the dGPU display ports are required, but this is progress and a clear indicator that Polaris is "supported" in Tahoe.

Thank you very much. I successfully installed Tahoe on my PC (Core i7 12th generation processor, AMD Radeon RX6600XT, Asus B660M-Plus motherboard) using your EFI folder. The only problem is that Bluetooth and Ethernet are not connecting.
