😆  Quise decir lo que quisiste decir, todos se muestran como conectores internos, no USB2, USB3, etc.

As I see it, all USB 3.0 are orange, but if I connect a USB 3.0 device or a 1t USB 3.0 disk, they are shown as an internal disk like the one in the photo.

Verified in Tahoma, beta 1 is not working correctly. I'll leave it pending. I've returned to Sequoia as I had it. I'm posting a photo of how I've prepared it to use each thing in its system.

Bluetooth works as well, thanks. However, I occasionally run into an issue where the system doesn't boot and shows the following error.

Hi

On a Laptop Dell Latitude 3510 (i5-10210U, UHD620, Intel Wifi) Tahoe 26.0, external SSD 2,5 Kingston 128g, Sequoia 15.5 (24F74) upgrade.

Tahoe install and boot with updated Sequoia 15.5 (24F74) EFI with Clover r5162 (472684d) (thanks Slice) and latest updated kexts (thanks ACiDenthera).

I have no idea why .. Is this happening since you fixed bluetooth???

Maybe you will find something useful. And try to disable IGPU in BIOS, for me it was progress, installation went further.

Hi @Sergey_Galan I am currently using your Windows Install program to prepare Opcore Simplify for my Desktops. Best of all! Thank you!

My sincere apologies, I guess I did miss it.

Hey no hard feelings,  I dare say Tahoe has got us all on edge.

Could be as it's our last Hack hoorah we all want to go out in style.

I have spent the last 7 days and nights trying to figure out why my machine unlike before won't take to it.

Sometimes it will give a glimpse of being installed right up to the Welcome Screen just to sit there.

Reboot without changing anything and it does something else.

I have isolated my RX580 using just Integrated and the results are unchanged.

I don't know what the next Beta will bring, if I can't install this one I don't hold out much hope for any other.

Right now my Sequoia boots to back screen unless I do clear nvram right before I boot. :)) I have no idea what’s causing this.
On MacOS TacOS side, i can get to the welcome screen with language chooser, I select the language, then it goes black for a second with a text “language Chooser” in the upper left corner, then back to the previous screen again.  That’s about as far as I got. But now it bothers me more that my Sequoia is booting to black screen. It’s clearly booting cause I can hear the sound effects when pressing the Enter key. So I know it boots up fine. I just don’t understand what could cause this from the recent changes.  Kinda weird.

We continue investigating the use of the USBMap.kext and SSDT SSDT-UIAC.aml kexts in Sequoia and Tahoe, but in Sequoia, although the logical SSxx ports appear, on my new computers: the USB 1t 3.0 does not mount as SS at the correct speed of 5g/s. Also, the icon is of a hard drive, not an orange USB. This did not happen with USBInjectAll.kext. It only happens if I put it in a USB3.0 port, in the USB2.0 ports it appears orange.

image.png.ce086af8b7f159fe91776c0354f9d062.png

I am having the EXACT same problem you are having.  I also noticed we have the same USB 3.0 Contoller (based on your screenshot): Cannon Lake PCH USB 3.1 xHCI.  I'm running a Dell MFF OptiPlex 3060.

Using USBMap.kext, I can get it to show USB 3.0 in System Information, BUT every USB 3.0 device mounts as USB 2.0 (480Mbps).

Here's an interesting video of someone installing macOS 26 Tahoe on a Late 2013 iMac (which I also have),

and it runs without a mouse, keyboard, network, and graphics support, but it does work.

It also has the same OWC Thunderbolt 3 Dock, which allows you to connect a mouse and keyboard to the USB port of this

Thunderbolt 3 Dock and at least configure some macOS settings.

I'll just have to wait for the OCLP team until a new OCLP patcher is released. But I'm confident that they can get it working with

USB and LAN (or Wi-Fi), and above all, full graphics support, which is one of the most important things.

Here's the link to the YouTube video.

Thats how it is right now until....................

First of all, I want to thank everyone who posted in this thread. I learned something from each of them while trying to install Tahoe on my system.
For several days, I was unable to install it. I created an installation USB, booted from it, the installation seemingly began on the chosen disk (blank disk) but it always rebooted to the macOS Installer entry, which never disappeared and was never replaced by the macOS Tahoe disk entry.
The EFIs kindly provided by @arya and @Ludox helped me fine-tune my own EFI and, in the end, I too managed to install Tahoe.

Although it is in the signature, my Hack is Z390 + i9-9900 + RX 6600 XT.

These are the notes that I find important based on my experience over these arduous days:

  • I've tried three SMBIOS (iMac 20.1 / iMac 20.2 / MacPro 7.1), and MacPro 7.1 was the one that managed to complete the installation.
  • The iGPU is disabled in the BIOS. If I enable it, the machine won't boot properly.
  • OpenCore 1.0.5 and newer kexts (as of today).
  • I've tried with and without WhateverGreen, and Tahoe boots fine either way.
  • Booting to the Desktop takes about the same time as on Sonoma or Sequoia.
  • There is graphical acceleration.
  • With the system in dark mode, Safari exhibits some graphical issues in the tab and bookmarks bars. In Chrome, these issues don't seem to exist. Despite this, I really like Tahoe's dark mode, including apps icons.
  • Fenvi Broadcom Wi-Fi doesn't work; of course, this was expected. What surprised me is that the Fenvi's Bluetooth isn't working properly either; it has been working OOTB from Catalina to Sequoia.
  • I created the USB port map manually, starting from the previous USBMap.kext file and adding the properties needed by Tahoe (thanks @verdazil). It seems to work fine. IORegistryExplorer shows the 15 active ports, just like in previous macOS.
  • Hackintool doesn't display the ports properly in the USB tab; I see the name of the USB controller, but the port list is empty. -> Fixed rebuilding wrong USBMap.kext.
  • Intel i219 Ethernet works fine.
  • Internet sharing from iPhone via USB cable works fine.
  • These are the kexts I have used:
    • AppleALC.kext
    • IntelMausi.kext
    • Lilu.kext (-lilubetaall not needed)
    • NVMeFix.kext
    • RestrictEvents.kext (to avoid misconfigured memory notice)
    • USBMap.kext
    • VirtualSMC.kext
    • WhateverGreen.kext (tested with and without it).

macOS Tahoe works quite well for such an early release.

Login, with or without automatic login, works correctly. I like colors and transparency.

So I'm adding myself to the list. Looks like we'll be able to have fun for longer than I thought.

Personally, I don't like it at all! Everything is just gray and barely recognizable.

Surprising the mouse worked with the OWC dock. But this is good news for legacy support.

That was the most interesting thing about the funny video 🙂

It's a good indication that only USB with TB2 works on the Late 2013 iMac (I also tried Ethernet on the Thunderbolt 3 dock, but it doesn't work).
Do you also have a 27-inch Late 2013 iMac?
