When I start installing Tahoe on my hackintosh, this image appears and the USB mouse doesn't work.

This sounds like a USB mapping problem.

https://github.com/corpnewt/USBMap

You need to create your re-USB mapping file compatible with this version Tahoe.

Or you need to add your SSDT-UIAC.aml file to OC/ACPI and deaktivate all USB kexts.

Finally made it to the finish line. Thinkpad T480.

I used OpCore Simplify to generate the EFI Folder.
 - Set the SMBIOS to MacBookPro6,1
 - Didnt make the USB Port Mapping.

I throw the EFI into the install media EFI Partition, and gone through the installation. It was sweet.

Finally, I try to install Tahoe Beta on my Z390 machine (SMBIOS MacPro7,1 + RX580).

Using Cyberdev's tool, I create an usb bootable. But Kernel KC errors remains despite OpenCore-1.0.5 commit 15cdd85. I download all others kexts here for Tahoe.

Any ideas, please.

Imho it could be a smbios problem, try changing it to a supported one.

For example iMac20,1, iMac20,2.

Edit: Sorry for the late reply, just forget it.

Does anyone have a clue what might be going on here please (I have been away and trying to catch up!) when trying to boot the installer?

It get's this far then I get the no entry sign, I enabled verbose so I could see what was happening.

I have updated the kexts and (I think!) disabled USB and added a SSDT-UIAC.aml created by Hackintool but still can't boot it.

Hey Mat!

Try to disable WEG in config and see if you can get past those errors this way.  I can see Lilu is already up to date, so that should be ok. WEG is not the latest, but honestly, I don't think that's gonna make a difference here. I think you might be having the same problem I have. So...while disabling WEG might get you a bit further into the installation, I don't think you will be able to finish it successfully this way. And unfortunately, I don't know of any fix for that right now. It might not even be something that WEG can fix. But that's up for debate. :))

So...to get further, what I did was to update Lilu (which you apparently did already) and disable WEG. See if that makes a difference for you. :)

Same for me in my Z390.

@miliuco Strangely, the Z390 EFI folder (SMBIOS MacPro7,1 + RX 580) previous posted (Opencore, Kexts updated from Acidanthera repo), can boot Sequoia but not Tahoe Beta 1 Installer 😒

Hey @arsradu I use latest WEG from Acidanthera repo with commit for macOS 26. Thanks for your advice. I will try.

Most welcome! Also, can you please share a link to that WEG? I thought the latest version was 1.3.7 and…as far as I could see, the latest commit was from January or so. But maybe I’m missing something. :))) So if you have something that should be ready for Tahoe, I’d be curious to try it out myself. :)

Oh, wait. We have a new commit from 3h ago that adds constants for Tahoe! Now THAT I wanna test, for sure!

I'll let you know how it goes. And thank you!

Also, I see we have new commits on OC side, as well.

Alright, time to update and test again. :D

with WEG-3251496 RX 460 progress  can reach the menu language choose .. and then looping, cannot continue the process

Yeah, that's what I was getting last night as well... I'm reinstalling everything from scratch with newest builds of everything. But yeah, that might not be an issue that WEG can fix.

It is because FileVault got activated and is preventing you entry. You must deactivate it by booting to recovery by following a previously posted procedure in this forum and you'll be good to go.

Just some heads up with the trackpad, as it is working for me only if I boot with a USB mouse attached then I can remove it and the trackpad will be fully functional. Without the USB mouse attached during boot, the laptop will not reach the login screen and will continuously keep on printing {censored} on the display 🤣
