For your iMac17,1 IGPU enabled I'd try agdpmod=pikera shikigva=60 shiki-id=Mac-7BA5B2D9E42DDD94

Thanks for the advice, unfortunately it didn't work: Netflix HTML5 player with safari is not available. I guess I need to wait for the next beta or try a different dGPU.

Regards.

VirtualSMC version 1.05 was just released and its release notes say that SMCBatteryManager has been fixed to make it compatible with macOS 10.15.  Be advised, however, that this fix does not work for Catalina Beta 3.  SMCBatteryManager.kext will need to be updated again before it can be used with Beta 3.

There is no possible combination that you would get shikigva=60, the closest would be 63

I guess I have to re-check. Combination 32+8+16+4 isn't correct. By the way, what would you suggest for IGPU headless-connectorless and descrete Radeon, meaning shikigva=?

16 is for DisabledUnused16 which basically disables shikigva patches all together. Read https://github.com/acidanthera/WhateverGreen/blob/master/WhateverGreen/kern_shiki.hpp to get a better understanding of what bitmask that you need to add together in order to calculate your shikigva value.

 The only options you have are:

ForceOnlineRenderer        = 1,
AllowNonBGRA               = 2,
ForceCompatibleRenderer    = 4,
AddExecutableWhitelist     = 8,
ReplaceBoardID             = 32,
UnlockFP10Streaming        = 64,

Many thanks!!! Every day I learn something useful.

4+8 only for not supported configurations (NVIDIA + SNB/SKL/KBL; AMD + IVY) on 10.13.3 and older. Do not use on 10.13.4 and is newer. If sikigva is not set, will be established automatically depending on a configuration and macOS version.

16 only for fixes falling iTunes on 10.13-10.13.5

Successful upgrade to Catalina DP3_19A501i on my legacy XPS M1530 core2duo laptop with Nvidia Tesla 8600M GT.

Also succeeded on my Asus A43SJ laptop with Nvidia GeForce GT 520M using.. Offline *.pkg Update from 10.15 Beta 2.

With some exceptions, I need these from Mojave 10.14.4 (as @dosdude1 with his patcher app uses 10.14.3):

/System/Library/Extensions:
- GeForceGLDriver.bundle
- GeForceVADriver.bundle

/System/Library/Frameworks:
- CoreDisplay.framework
- OpenGL.framework

/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks
- GPUSupport.framework
- SkyLight.framework

..plus additional AppleBacklight* (SLE) & DisplayServices* (/S/L/PrivateFrameworks) from 10.12.3 to make Brightness slider working under 10.13.x upto 10.15 Beta.

is anybody able to load brcmpatchram2.kext on a laptop with opencore on Catalina dp2 or dp3?

I looked at your config in the OC thread and it looks fine to me according to the instructions. It would be interesting to know exactly what parameter is invalid.

05:933 00:001 OC: Prelink injection BrcmPatchRAM2.kext - Invalid Parameter

Hi,

I have been able to boot beta 3 and all works normal except for the trackpad.My problem  is as follows:

Using voodoops2controller.kext I get everything except dragging.

Using Appleps2smartouchpad.kext from osxlattitude I get dragging albeit with a fidgety scrolling/pointer but then I loose two finger tap for right click.

Any suggestions for any plist edits or other to get dragging  going on my trackpad.

Specs in sig.

Regards

On new beta during boot problem with EndpointSecurity on laptop.

Release notes suggest that you have to disable SIP and delete /Library/SystemExtensions/EndpointSecurity/.early_boot.plist in single user mode to fix it.

Im running into this same issue with the latest beta on my Dell 7559. First beta worked fine. But now it auto shuts down during boot. Same verbose output. I have not been able to locate the ".early_boot.plist" within EndpointSecurtiy kext. Any other ideas?

There is a dot before name file. Maybe it's a hidden plist file. You can use show hidden file in Terminal

First to show

defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles YES

To hide again

defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles NO

Ive also tried this approach and with no luck. Searched through both the new drive partitions. Cannot find this plist file.

Hi!

I have issues with my sleep on Haswell with RX 570 for Catalina.

Started a thread separately to keep it clean.

Can you please take a look at?

Many thanks

Same issue here, but on Skylake.  After sleep it will not wake the screen (or the whole machine for that matter) . Lid open, trackpad press, power button quick press, nothing wakes it up.  I have to fully shut down by holding the power button.  Things worked great in Mojave.

Try to change the ig-platform-id on your iGPU patch. Had the same issue on Haswell on my desktop, managed to fix it thanks to @polyzargone here who suggested switching to a headless ig-platform-id. That fixed it right up for me. My guess is the issue is the same on your rig (iGPU related). But most likely the ig-platform-id is gonna be different.
