Nice! Yippe! :thumbsup_anim:

It would be really nice if you can fix 64bit issue.

I want to use "clear" in 64bit mode.

Great to see some new stuff happening on the sse2 side of things. I think I will have to try it out when it hits. I shouldn't miss the release as I will be setting up #JaS.DVD over on irc.insanelymac.com totally today, as long as it's released today lol. RL is kicking my irc time to the back burner these days

semthex what about 64-bit Intel issue, was a problems here?

I think I know, why you kernel gives panic on some machines with AppleHDA. It seems to HPET readout gives the same value, and division by zero.

cocozsdo Dual Core AMD works fine anywhere I think.

My results with nd6:

booted fine, processor speed etc detected correctly.

geekbench 64-bit version crashes with Illegal Instruction.

Sleep/Wake as before - no video on wake.

FYI, this was a JaS 10.4.7 install, to which I applied Apple's 10.4.8 Combo update, pauilicat's SMBIOS and semthex kern.

I might try a fresh install of JaS 10.4.8...

Wellt eh kernel lost it's 64Bit ability cause of serveral other fixes, was a good thing to get back into after the last weeks of pause. I will look into the HPET issue if you like, is there a panic msg available somewhere? Otherwise I will check the rdHPET export later with some quick and dirty tester ;) Anyways, maybe drop me a mail, Anonymouss told me about your HPET selector you wrote, if you have some time maybe mail me about it, I would be really intrested in includign it to the next builds if you like, so we have not to write the same things over and over again.

Why's the thread unstickied?

Because some people around here act strange after I moved houses on IRC :tomato:

Anyways we go to a new round later, for everyone who wants to join, I am on IRC (irc . osx86 . hu) as usale. Let's seew hat we can

fix here today :)

No, however I couldn't reproduce them.

You can look to the http://topmods.net/OMC/xnu_diff.zip hpet.c. It's far from ideal off course (in ideal we should check not only vendor id of south bridge). Hpet scanner based on southbridge vendor id check  Edited by DaemonES

Can we take this to mean you are not in retirement, and willing to work on the next version of the DVD, when the time is ripe? Thanks again for all the great work JaS and other community gods!

semthex: should geekbench 64-bit run no problems on Pentium D920 with this kernel? because mine is failing with illegal instruction... :)

anyone else have any 64-bit unibins running?

i was getting the same issues with the latest semthex kernels a while ago, so i had to revert to beta8 or 9 (i forget).

i'll give this new kernel a try again and report back. i have a feeling tho i'll get the same as you.

With the newest kernel version, when I push right mouse 4 or 5 times, the Finder always be crashed and relaunch automatic! (any Finder are closed) Is it error? Anybody have this problem? :hysterical:
