Yippe! It would be really nice if you can fix 64bit issue. I want to use "clear" in 64bit mode. DaemonES
semthex what about 64-bit Intel issue, was a problems here? I think I know, why you kernel gives panic on some machines with AppleHDA. It seems to HPET readout gives the same value, and division by zero. cocozsdo Dual Core AMD works fine anywhere I think. munky
My results with nd6: booted fine, processor speed etc detected correctly. geekbench 64-bit version crashes with Illegal Instruction. Sleep/Wake as before - no video on wake. FYI, this was a JaS 10.4.7 install, to which I applied Apple's 10.4.8 Combo update, pauilicat's SMBIOS and semthex kern. I might try a fresh install of JaS 10.4.8... Wellt eh kernel lost it's 64Bit ability cause of serveral other fixes, was a good thing to get back into after the last weeks of pause. I will look into the HPET issue if you like, is there a panic msg available somewhere? Otherwise I will check the rdHPET export later with some quick and dirty tester Anyways, maybe drop me a mail, Anonymouss told me about your HPET selector you wrote, if you have some time maybe mail me about it, I would be really intrested in includign it to the next builds if you like, so we have not to write the same things over and over again. Why's the thread unstickied? Because some people around here act strange after I moved houses on IRC Anyways we go to a new round later, for everyone who wants to join, I am on IRC (irc . osx86 . hu) as usale. You can look to the http://topmods.net/OMC/xnu_diff.zip hpet.c. It's far from ideal off course (in ideal we should check not only vendor id of south bridge).
