Hey all...

So I managed to re-partition my harddrive so I could install the DVD. However whenever it starts installing, it gets down to the following and then just hangs:

Waiting for boot volume with UUID <uuid number>
Waiting on <dic ID="0"><key>IOProviderClass</key><string ID="1">IOResources</string><key>IOResourceMatch</key><string ID="2">boot-uuid-media</string></dict>
NVDANV30HAL loaded and registered
display: family speicfic matching fails
FireWire (OHCI)TI ID 8023 PCI now active, GUID 80721300196f9600; max speed s400
still waiting for root device
still waiting for root device
still waiting for root device
still waiting for root device

Any ideas?

Thanks!

EDIT: I have 2 partitions: NTFS with my WindowsMCE, and then FAT32 where I was intending to install OSX.

use my gigabyte ds3/4 pack.

contain all the fix;audio, network yukon and jmicron sata/ide.

you can customize which to install..

Rapidshare won't let me download any more files. Is there a chance you could upload it here?

Hi folks,

I have installed the new JaS DVD now - great job JaS. I got everything working except network. I think the hole pci is not working.

If I look in the system profiler at the loaded extensions I find a lot information like this:

Can someone tell me how to fix it? I have upgraded form JaS 10.4.6 perhaps that is the reason?

Thanx for your help

At me also

Pure installation

Ok, this is weird. Now it just won't boot. At all. I booted in to Windows, and then tried to get back to OSx86 and it won't work at all. This is so unpredictable...

I think I may just save up for a Mac. As much as I want this to work, it's too much hassle on this motherboard.

Lol, I may have been converted. :compress:

just finished downloading checked out good....

for the purely paranoid.... (no guaranty that my file isn't at all a bit corrupt or that the program doesn't have any possible bugs:P)

Ok, downloaded but NOT working. When booting with the re-seed DVD (latest) it automatically reboots just when going to show the gray apple. Never boots completely. Never happened with 10.4.7. Don't know waht to do.

The new reseed doesn't work for me either, it loads to the same place as the first DVD and just goes black and nothing happens until reboot :gathering:

As far as I can see this release will only work error-free if you upgrade from JaS 10.4.7 or 10.4.8

For a clean install or upgrade for 10.4.6 it will work but the System.kext incl. plugins are somehow wrong or have a wrong depedency.

How can we get these packages with correct version?

Can you send me a working System.kext + plugins from a JaS 10.4.7 installation?

Would that fix it ?

re-book

So an uncurupped version still has errors on it?

Well, I am pleased to say I now have OSx86 up and running. It is working beautifully! :D

I used Pion's (extremely handy) Gigabyte DS3/4 Installer package, and it made everything work: Audio, Internet, ICH8. Great work Pion - much appreciated! ;)

XBench (although it doesn't prove everything): 201.47
