I would so much rather the built-in drivers support Maxwell.  My guess is that, at least for now, they don't.

They don't. I tried.

That's a pity.

By the way, since you also own a Maxweill GPU, can you confirm that you sometimes see scrambled images within Safari ?

I just got a Titan X, and I am facing this strange issue, mostly using Safari.

I don't use Safari, don't know. I used it today for the Apple stream, no problems here.

Not until Apple starts to use Maxwell GPU in the Mac.

I can confirm that, and it has been reported by many others on a couple forums without a fix.

Meaning Full QE/CI?

On my Z87X-UD5H recognize my GTX 760 (Correct name & MBs) but no GPU BIOS Info in System Report & no QE/CI

Knock it off. The only reason this thread should be bumped is to post links to the drivers if/when they come out.

sorry for this off-topic but some people could find this info helpful

for all people with GTX570 and device-id 0x108610de, you don't have to wait for the first beta of Nvidia WebDriver for El Capitan... you can get this card work in El Capitan (guess with previous versions too) with FakeID - 0x108110de

iMac-de-fantomas1:~ fantomas1$ kextstat |grep NVDA

   68    2 0xffffff7f80f63000 0x283000   0x283000   com.apple.nvidia.driver.NVDAResman (10.0.6) 14B636BC-3AFD-3039-9941-5FAEED135628

   69    0 0xffffff7f811f1000 0x1d1000   0x1d1000   com.apple.nvidia.driver.NVDAGF100Hal (10.0.6) 13324517-226D-37EA-BB8B-13D5C8478E6A

Working well with rootless=0 and kext-dev-mode=1. Additionally for some users out there, Dell UP2715k 5k monitor sleeps and wakes successfully! Been waiting for that for a while!

Could anyone running a Maxwell GPU on El Capitan do a quick test for me ?

I was having some troubles rendering very specific images in Safari and/or Preview with Yosemite...

...and I don't have a Maxwell GPU available to re-do the test right now.

If you could do this on your machine (simply opening a PDF and share the screenshot), it would be highly appreciated :)

      WiFi & Bluetooth: Broadcom BCM94360HMB Half-Mini-PCI-E

      El Capitan 10.11.6 -> Big Sur 11 - Windows 10

      What is working:
BCM94360HMB Wifi and Bluetooth AirDrop, Handoff, FaceTime, Messages, App Store, iCloud, etc. Intel HD 530 (QE/CI tested, but now I'm using it in headless) Sleep RX 5700 (QE/CI with 2 1080p monitors connected) Sound (all ports) USB Ports Two Ethernet ports macOS with a light OC (4.12 GHz - 4.5 Ghz, XMP, ASUS optimal) ASUS HyperKit and M.2 with a KINGSTON NVMe SSD - 250 GB Hardware decoding/encoding on both HD 530 and RX 5700 (HD 530 up to HEVC, RX 5700 at the time of writing VP9) iGPU only (with QuickSync) is used in the default config.plist To use dGPU for hw decode/encode and also use Intel QuickSync you need to start with "config_headless.plist" This will use iMac17,2 SMBIOS and shikigva=80 To use dGPU only boot with "config_amd.plist" also disable iGPU completely in BIOS. This will use iMacPro1,1 SMBIOS without iGPU System Integrity Protection is Enabled by default. If you need to boot with SIP disabled you may use "config_debug.plist" or disable it manually in Clover settings. If you want Enabled SIP but with allowing unsigned kexts you may boot with "CsrActiveConfig = 0x01"
      What is not working:
      -

      Not tested:
      Thunderbolt (no equipment)
      Issues:
      None
      BIOS Settings:
Boot\CSM (Compatibility Support Module): Launch CSM: Disabled Boot\Secure Boot: OS type: Other OS Secure Boot State: Disabled Advanced\System agent (sa) Configuration: VT-d: Enabled Graphics Configuration: (This is for HD 530 in headless) Primary Display: Auto (to use dGPU only this must be PEG) iGPU Multi-monitor: Enabled (to use dGPU only this must be Disabled) RC6(Render Standby): Enabled (to use dGPU only this must be Disabled) DVMT Pre-Allocated: 128M Advanced\PCH Storage Configuration: SATA Mode Selection: AHCI HyperKit: Enable (if you have NVMe SSD with ASUS HyperKit) Advanced\CPU Configuration: Intel Virtualization Technology: Enabled CPU- Power Management Control: CPU- C-States: Enabled Intel SpeedShift: Enabled
      Getting ready for installation:
Download the bootpack (Clover v5126): Click here -> Z170-DELUXE_Clover_v5126.zip (Tested: El Capitan 10.11.6 -> macOS Big Sur 11.0.1)
      Installation:
Create an installer with any method you know (- Mac: createinstallmedia, gibMacOS - Windows: Transmac, Vmware, Win32diskimager, gibMacOS) Copy my Clover folder to the USB's EFI folder Boot with the Installer USB If you have any problem (kp or freeze) boot with config_debug.plist to see what causes the issue
      Post Installation:
Download Clover Configurator and generate a new Serial Number for yourself
      Some pictures:

      El Capitan 10.11.6

      Sierra 10.12.6

      High Sierra 10.13.6

      Mojave 10.14.6

      Catalina 10.15.7

Catalina & Windows 10 Dual-Boot (clean install, on one drive):
Boot into your Mac installer, Create 2 partitions in GUID table (1 for Win (I used FAT32 but I think it doesn't matter what you choose), 1 for Mac)
Install Mac, boot with your USB, mount your EFI partition (use terminal or an EFI mounter app), create an EFI folder (if there is no folder), copy the CLOVER folder I attached to the EFI folder, restart
Boot into your Win installer, Format the partition you created for Win, install.
Now, it's automatically booting into Windows. To use Clover open cmd in administrator, type:
      bcdedit /set {bootmgr} path \EFI\CLOVER\CLOVERX64.efi
You're done! It will booting into Clover when you start the system, and you can select Win or Mac (or another OS if installed on a 3rd partition).

IF YOU GETTING ERRORS DURING WINDOWS INSTALLATION (could not be formatted, etc):
Make sure you have GPT partitions, and GPT (UEFI) installer, also disconnect all external storage drives (except the installer USB)
      Mounting EFI from Windows:
Open cmd in administrator mode and type: mountvol b: /s (This will mount your EFI) Open Total Commander or Explorer++ in administrator mode to manage EFI mountvol b: /d (This will unmount your EFI)

      Notes:
According to @albertoacj's comment Sidecar is only working in headless iGPU mode when using an AMD GPU, keep that in mind No need to change anything inside Clover from El Capitan to Big Sur For macOS Mojave and older you might need the full AirPortBrcmFixup.kext for full WiFi support

run sudo pmset -a hibernatemode 0 If no mouse, install all voodoo kexts using Kext Utility Description
This esentially an ultra-simplistic version that is stable without the use of a deploy or complicated file installations and copies. You can easily view all the SSDT patches along with configuration files for the bootloader as they are all documented clearly in the files. This does include a copy of Clover, which of course I do not contribute to and am only responsible for the provided files, patches, and kext placements This guide provides a working setup with little knowledge of the topic and without "optimization" (because often they can break things). But, it is fully functional and preforms properly and is stable Make sure you are using DW1560 for wifi or else KP. If not using remove BRCM kexts from CLOVER>kexts>other. BIOS Setup
Disable Secure Boot INSTALL (VERY IMPORTANT)
Due to structural changes in the setup of apple's Big sur, this EFI cannot boot the installer it can only boot into a system / device that has already been created and setup. To do this, you need to install Big Sur to a virtual machine (lots of guides online) and then create an dmg of that system, and restore it onto your HDD using the 'dd' command There are various guides online how to get this virtual machine setup complete. You can then use the attached EFI folder to boot and use macOS big Sur You can use this video to show you how to get your macOS pre-installed onto your hard drive https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HMU3nhcbWHw Boot Entry Setup
Due to the fact this BIOS is locked down pretty heavily, reccomended to use Windows to find a free tool to add UEFI boot entries Messages and Facetime
Gnerate your own Serials, Board Numbers, MLB There are various guides online to do this and as default they're set to essentially Null (Fakeserial) This is fairly straightforward and there is lots of external recourses, or you can contact me for support. Headphones and Audio
All audio from speakers should work perfectly along with Bluetooth and USB audio no internal mic Credits
MaLd0n for DSDT Patches (HUGE SHOUTOUT) Original Kext Authors Clover Team Finished!
Congratulations, there really aren't any more steps that are required. Feel free to contact me with any questions. Donations

      Hi,

I'm rather new to Hackintosh and trying my first build with OpenCore on AMD, but I run into issues causing OpenCore to crash before even loading the macOS installer. As I'm not sure which one is causing the crash, I'm trying to resolve all of them and one of the error messages has to do with WhateverGreen, which I was able to see in this slow-mo loading video. Basically I'm getting an error that I'm running an unsupported processor, even though I think I was following this guide by the step.
What could be causing this and what do I need to do to resolve it?
