hope help you, Boot Snow leopard: Coppy VodooPS2 and Nub2.... from Extra of Snow to System=> Library=> Extension of Lion and repair:

Sudo -s

chown -R 0:0 {drag Voodoops2 from S=>L=>E} enter

chmod -R 755 {drag Voodoops2 from S=>L=>E}enter

chown -R 0:0 {drag Nub2... from S=>L=>E} enter

chmod -R 755 {drag Nub2... from S=>L=>E}enter

Success

I didn't understand what you meant by Nub2..kext but I solved the problem by voodoops2 and booting into 32-bit kernel via arch=i386 on #####. Thank you very much for your reply.

As for the slowness, once I disable the built-in wireless, Lion becomes tolerable. But I lose network connectivity hehe.

Seeing I don't miss a lot, I am back to Snow Leopard :-)

i have successfully to install Lion on my EP35-DS3R.

when i install lion finish i boot back to Snow leopard to install

- install Chameleon 2 RC3 r658 to Lion

- install boot from Netkas

- add -v -usecache to com.apple.boot.plist in Extra

- edit my DSDT.aml with Vanilla Speedstep (no need Disabler.kext)

now i have com.apple.boot.plist and DSDT.aml in my Extra folder

and then copy FakeSMC.kext and VoodooPS2.kext to Lion/S/L/E

and then everything work very good, so i very happy with new Lion.

Where did you got the boot from NETKAS? I always get the double fault during chamaleon boot on Lion.

I think it is a ASUS motherboard problem, because I have a ASUS P6T and nothing of this methods work for me too.

If someone is just curious about Lion, I found the link below with instructions of how to install on Vmware Fusion, runs very fast.

On asus,you have to change serial port1 address in advanced tab/onboard devices config in bios to disable, or 3E8/IRQ4, then you can at least use #####, no dsdt needed just fakesmc.kext in s/l/e. I still haven't been able to do netkes bootfile, I have to wait for someone to build one, it's too much trial and error.

XPC and ##### can't boot.

maybe asus motherboard must be MOD BIOS like snow leopard

Added AppleACPIPS2Nub.kext to the 10.7 and my trackpad and keyboard now work. so i have sound, wifi, keyboard trackpad along with optical drive (connected to the same usb hub as the keyboard) So i tracked the fake RAM issue and the mouse tracking hickup down to something to do with the #####. when i boot my perfectly working 10.6 from the #####. the bios version and RAM and hickup issue persists. Still waiting on a decent boot up method. once i fixed the wifi issue i was able to boot to the ‘install; partition again and attempt to install the server packages but fails saying it ant find them. I cant manually find them either. Does anyone know if there anywhere else to be found??

I am still getting DF with RC3.....oh well

- server packages but fails=> Me too

- You can try Chameleon RC3 and boot of netkas, only add: -v -usecache. you can use DSDT.

To get the server packages, install Lion using "Mac OS X Install ESD" or something, and choose Server so that it downloads it from the internet. Then, copy those '.pkg' files to your install partition/usb and select it during install!

Here you are.

Lion_Bootloader.zip

Thanks, I'll give this one a try.

The one from netkas site ALWAYS give me the double fault error.

Also I read something related to copying kernelcache file from install DMG to Lion's root partition on Netkas blog. I tried but still double fault error. Any other hints to avoid this when booting from chamelon?

With the DSDT edits and an alternative ALC888 solution for layout-id 0x78 0x03 (found here) I have working sound.

Hi Bansaku

Thanks for posting that there's now a third ALC888 audio solution and it's good to hear you have it working. I haven't yet had a chance to look in depth at the differences between the two I knew about and now this one, but I will once the lion inertia has settled. Out of interest, did neither of the previous solutions work for you?

Regards

blackosx ;)

So If some one kindly upload these files rest of users can try out on their ATI Cards with these new drivers!
