My keyboard still does not work with ##### 1.4. Does anyone know any solutions?

as in many other Posts here described, use another "wired" Keyboard.

My Alu-Keyboard is not supported, but the white Apple-Keyboard is working fine.

Hope, that helps..

Rene.

Lion on mine scored 9418 in demo mode for version 2.1.10. Just downloading the latest version now.

[edit] And 9480 with v. 2.1.12, so I guess its a worthwhile upgrade, LOL.

I am going to have to investigate. The first lines of the error are for OpenGl framework, then Core Foundation. I even d/l a newer version of GB and still getting the same errors. Very odd.

Hello and good Morning,

just to your Info… if you are using TimeMachine.. here on my System it is not proper working.

Attention, if you are working Lion only… (you should not do this on the early state of development..)

Timemachine did not finish my Backups here, it says only 5 Seconds to left.. but increase still the Size of Backup and does not find he End…

The Backuped Data is not acessable and there is only a .. progress-Folder in the backup.db-Folder.

Have Attention on that.

Update:

This is caused by a misconfigurated Ethernet-Port.

Maybe the Migration Assistent had copied zhe Settings for the Ethernet-Port from 10.6, but this was not good.

Resetting the Ethernet-Connection and new configure it resolved this Problem,

TimeMachine finished my Backup from 30 GB in just an hour instaed of >13 Hours before.

Lion working on GA-EP45-DQ6, Linksys BCM4318 WiFi, NV GF-8800GTS QE-CI , onboard ALC889b all workin 64bits.

What are you using for audio? I have a GA-EP45-UD3R (also has the ALC889 I believe) and LegacyHDA doesn't work for me.

I was being lazy when I got this working and just dropped these (Legacy889HDA.kext & AppleHDA.kext v1.7.9a4) in cos they were working in SL 10.6.7. Thats for ALC889 on my GA-X58A-UD3R. Gives me optical and digital (pcm 2ch) output, no hdmi audio. http://www.sendspace.com/file/6qgche

I've finally managed to appear on the screen the boot disk with the XPC, waiting exactly 21 minutes, but ..... when I select the flash drive boot with command "Board Serial: Mac-F4208DA9

Kernel Arguments:-v ("arch = i386, x86_64) ', I is the gray screen with the stylus by turning the wheel past multicolor 1:30 minutos.y not achieving the installation menu screen.

Any suggestions

Thanks

Yes.. uiuiui..

After seeing the Boot-Screen, you should press "M", so you can set up your Machine Data, especially the Board-ID, use F-227BEC8,

then press "ESC-Key" so these changes are written to smbios.plist.

If you want to boot the Partition, where you have restored the Base.dmg, you should use "-usecache -v arch=i386", not both like (arch=i386, x86_64), if you want to start the Lion-Partition, after you have installed the Lion onto, booting the Lion you should use use "-usecache -v arch=x86_64".

In both Cases you have to install from your working SL the FakeSMC.kext in System/Library/Extensions of the Base.dmg-Partition and the Lion-Partition. Otherwise you will be stuck at the grey Screen with spinning Wheel….

Hope, this helps you a little bit more...

LegacyHDA, HDAEnabler, AppleHDA from 10.6.6, all in S/L/E....chown, chmod... DiskUtility.

Same for FakeSMC

Installation with WorkingXPC on an USB Key, 2 Partitions on 200GB HD, 1 20GB, 1 175GB.On the 1st, Lion image restored with earlier described method.

I changed /S/L/SystemConfiguration in /S/L/SystemConfiguration.bak for removing extreme slowwwwwwwwlyness in System responding!

I transferred with System Migration Assistant my progs from 10.6.6, all working.

All PPC Based progs definitively not working. No more Rosetta in Lion!

How you managed to get XPC booting?

It never finds my Lion drive.

Hmmm, dunno the cause, just assumed it would be related to my jmicron controller ... didn´t really "solve" the problem, but as i have various drives, i just cloned Lion to a drive that is recognized by XPC ... btw. swapping ports didn´t help either did some other tests ... it just doesn´t detect my Seagate HDD´s ????!!!???? From WD all is fine, drive is detected and boots flawlessly. ;)

I also installed lion on GA ep45-ds3R q6600, but I had no luck with 9800 GT and 7300 gt. Both stuck at 1024 x 768 and no qe/ci. Also strangely when I install Nvenabler I can see the desktop in 1900 x 1200 full res, but it repeatly log off and log on.

Then I removed nv enabler, and re edited my DSDT for Graphics, same thinks happening as there is with NVenabler.

Help please

bah

safari has contextual menu in various lang.. some in EN some in IT,

safari don't start SSL browsing

safari download fails at 1st try, I must open download page and retry to have a good download

the os unable to detect my acer crystal eye as well as leo and snow that can detect it NATIVE!

I use only ##### 1.4. . this is the only one that can start the real boot after the ##### process..

so the verbose log is good.. I don't see any errors.. but I don't see that my dsdt is really loaded..

so I suppose that If I don't use nullcpu I can have a more complete boot and complete performances in the CPU management.

for me, the beta 1 is very incomplete!

Are all these problems based on Lion's Developer's release? The final copy should work or not with Chameleon? WIll I still be able to have an EFI partition like I have now with my boot, DSDT and FakeSMC etc files in there?

Will nvidia still be supported?

Thanks, didn't even think of using 10.6.6's AppleHDA :D reusing my old LegacyHDA too got 5.1 working.

Also, unintentionally I left Lion running overnight and since then I haven't got the double fault panic with Chameleon, so maybe it's related to cache/metadata generation or something. At any rate having correct SMBIOS data instead of the half-assed stuff ##### gives is nice.

The final will in general have the same requirements for chameleon. Offical (RC5 based) will not work - but until the release i think there will be at least some beta chamelon (one step further the very early chameleon lion bird now)

Also for NVIDIA: working will work, non working not - i dont think they will add officeal fermi support for example.

I'm so *close*!

Got ##### figured out, got my lickety-split HD-based Lion installer partition where the stick can see it - now I have to figure out why the installer rather abruptly *shuts down my Hack* almost halfway through the file-copy phase. Runs fine in Windows. Runs fine in Snow (now that 10.6.6 update has been applied). I even have *three* Lion-based VMs in VMware (the first was *canned*, but I made the other two myself). The issue only happens when installing Lion native.

I'm thinking a power issue, except that why would it *only* happen in Lion's install? And the only hardware I've installed recently was a CPU upgrade (from Celeron DC E1200 to Celeron DC E3400). To eliminate heat and other issue I may stick to hunting with Virtual Lions (remember, I do have three) until I can actually let this new CPU cool for a bit before another native-attempt.

Okay...turned out that the CPU fan had partially worked loose - making sure it was secure (at all corners - one corner had worked loose) solved the problem there, and installation was able to complete (in a lickety-split 20 minutes).

Now I have a *different* sort of issue (with Snow and #####). For some reason, ##### will *not* boot (or identify) the Lion partition properly. Two EFI partitions are shown - however, ##### will not boot either (nor is either identified). XPC can tell which OS is on either partition (however, it refuses to boot *any* partion with 10.7 installed, claiming it isn't supported).

These are the latest versions of XPC and ##### (1.4 in #####'s case).

Any idea what would cause the issue with #####? (I have a very good idea what is causing the *unrelated* issue with Snow.)

I managed to install lion, on a partition of my SL, but will not start in any way, install the chameleon 2 Rc3 with netkas boot, but remains ...

setuptime in nanoseconds 286932326333034

Help me

The problem is two different bootloaders on the same drive, and it's not unique to Chameleon - most bootloaders do NOT play nice with others (that includes GRUB and lilo). I'm actually hoping that Apple (for once) decides NOT to fork from the established EFI specification (to keep the OS away from Hacks, and *us*), now that PCs are headed to EFI-land (and en masse) as well.
