So tracked the slowness issue down to a bundle found in the /system/library/systemconfiguration folder. So i replaced ALL the bundles with the ones from my 10.6.6 install. and BAMN no more slowness issues. Still have wireless, sound and Graphics while in 32bit though i still cant get my keyboard or trackpad running yet. It still wont load the KEXTS that work fine on the SL side..ill update when i know more. Booting still sucks having to use the ##### USB drive since it takes forever…..Still have the 3gs of RAM issue as well. Oh and my system clock is fast. 1:1.10 abouts. could be whats causing the mouse to hickup now and then

I have two drive images restored on two partitions: One is snow leopard's installation and the other one is lion's. On both, after i select them, i get that Error setting resolution: Unsupported. So it must be an ##### thing. Even more, in the ##### drive choser, if i press 'Esc' key, it gets me to a bios like utility. Before loading it, i get the resolution message again...

When pressing 'U', the max resolution is 1024x768, even tho it should be higher...

Is there any configuration file to be edited for #####, to fix this?

And i tryed loading Lion instalation with -v / -v -x flags and none worked. I still get the resolution error

When u get kp on start just select the Sl partition then after an automatic restart select your install usb stick.

Boot even fast with custom dsdt on Nforce system.

Yep, most people get that Double Kernel Panic using chameleon Lion RC3 - like me. But its only an thing of time, that will get fixed.

Different HD (as opposed to a different *partition*) from Snow?

That would explain why I keep running into the Snow booter (RC5, which is on the Snow partition) as opposed to RC3, which is on the *Lion* partition; however, they are on the same drive. Apparently, you can only have one loader per drive (not per partition), and RC5, as the first loader, took precedence.

Rats.

Thank you cparm

That's a cleaner solution, audio works and System Profiler/Audio is now populated again.

:)

With the DSDT edits and an alternative ALC888 solution for layout-id 0x78 0x03 (found here) I have working sound.

Does anyone have an answer to this?

take out all your custom kext that you put on the ##### drive. and try booting

with board G41M-ES2L rev 1.0 i have everything going except for wifi which i don't really care about because i usually keep my computer on ethernet. and sleep will cause the computer to completely shut down.

I am not using a dsdt yet because i can't get chameleon to work. but i have faith in the good people that all that will come in time :) but for now running Lion on a preview is actually really nice and i will continue to use it

thank,
