1. nVidia 7300 LE on AMD HP Pavilion on 10.6.7

So I found an efi string for all NVIDIA chipsets and cards and not. Single one makes a diff with my setup. Looks like in Ganna have to get a new card. Perhaps ATI
2. nVidia 7300 LE on AMD HP Pavilion on 10.6.7

Yes, ive tried GraphicsEnabler=Yes, also using Lizard with graphics enabled and graphics injection, also tried using the Graphics Mode as we talked about earlier. Al of those methods work in the aspect that they allow for full support BUT the problem comes with an conflict in the IOUSBHID kext causing the mouse to be extremely unstable, switching axis at random and being overly sensitive to the point not being able to use it, and general slowness over all. with out those methods, the unit boots up in 30secs and runs great EXCEPT with no full graphics support....so im torn.. If you come across an EFI string for the nVidia 7300 LE or gForce 6150 by all means let me know
3. Change resolution with no video drivers

Well i dont want to hijack this thread. My issue is describe in another post of mine, in which im coming to the conclusion i will need to just get a new Vid card (my other thread) http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=276294
4. Change resolution with no video drivers

Even using lizard to force the graphics mode in ANY resolution it doest work for me. Unless you use Graphics Injection. But then that adds a whole slue of other problems for me.
5. i found the test AMD but didnt work with mine cant remember where i got it though.....but i still have it..
6. AMD

I saw a patched AMD 10.7.1 kernel floating around..not sure if it works as the only intel working Lion i have on an EXHD is 10.7.2, and when i use the patched AMD kernel and kexts that work with my AMD 10.6.7 it boots and loads the kexts, then reboots...prob not a completed AMD kernel just yet..i would love to see one though...
7. Change resolution with no video drivers

yea that doesnt work......its the same as entering the "Graphics Mode"="1200x800x32" (desired Res) in the kernal flags. Lizard just makes it easier to edit the boot.plist, still wont FORCE a res if there is no kext loaded for the vid card.
8. Hey guys, Long time x86 users and tweaker. run a few hacintosh systems and recently found an old HP Pavilion in my garage. spruced it up a little with 2gbs RAM and a 320gb Sata drive. have been able to get most everything running except graphics support. It has the built in Gforce 6150 LE AND a PCI nVidia 7300 LE. neither of which i can get working properly with out conflicts. Ive tried ATV_Init.kext, NVInject.kext AND NVEnabler.kext all of which work in the aspects of adding full support for both cards, however they all three conflict with the IOUSBHID kexts, causing the mouse to invert axis on random. all proven by the console log. System runs great with out these kexts just only supports 1024x768x60hz with no QE or other support. Ive included a list of the Extra Ext im using with no other conflicts.. Can someone please point me in the right direction to fix this, with out getting a new vid card. Thanks! soon i hope to also try Lion on it EXT USED: ALCinject AppleACPIPS2Nub AppleNForceATA fakesmc nForceLAN NullCPUPowerManagment OpenHaltRestart PlatformUUID VoodooHDA VoodooPS2Controller EXT that cause the conflict: ATY_Init NVinject NVEnabler
9. Mac OS X Lion (Developer Preview) Released

ive noticed on the clock running too fast issue, this is related to the mhz you have set in the ##### config. Im running a 1.5ghz chip, if i set in ##### config that im using 2500 the the system clock runs WAY slow and everything takes forever to boot. if i go the other direction and set it to only 900mhz then the clock runs WAYY fast and everything launches lighting fast. Even internet stuff, however the sound is out of sync with videos. kinda cool. i was able to DOWN clock mine to 600mhz haha, but any lower than that and i get a KP. With all that said, ALL the hicks up i have are related to the #####. cant wait for a solid RC boot option.
10. Mac OS X Lion (Developer Preview) Released

Added AppleACPIPS2Nub.kext to the 10.7 and my trackpad and keyboard now work. so i have sound, wifi, keyboard trackpad along with optical drive (connected to the same usb hub as the keyboard) So i tracked the fake RAM issue and the mouse tracking hickup down to something to do with the #####. when i boot my perfectly working 10.6 from the #####. the bios version and RAM and hickup issue persists. Still waiting on a decent boot up method. once i fixed the wifi issue i was able to boot to the ‘install; partition again and attempt to install the server packages but fails saying it ant find them. I cant manually find them either. Does anyone know if there anywhere else to be found?? I am still getting DF with RC3.....oh well
11. Mac OS X Lion (Developer Preview) Released

So tracked the slowness issue down to a bundle found in the /system/library/systemconfiguration folder. So i replaced ALL the bundles with the ones from my 10.6.6 install. and BAMN no more slowness issues. Still have wireless, sound and Graphics while in 32bit though i still cant get my keyboard or trackpad running yet. It still wont load the KEXTS that work fine on the SL side..ill update when i know more. Booting still sucks having to use the ##### USB drive since it takes forever…..Still have the 3gs of RAM issue as well. Oh and my system clock is fast. 1:1.10 abouts. could be whats causing the mouse to hickup now and then
12. Mac OS X Lion (Developer Preview) Released

Ok here is what im running and what i did. i have successfully installed and booted Lion..Slow as heck but still booted. **All under root user** 1. partitioned a 16g flash in to 2 partitioned with MBR A-”#####”is 1.5g and FAT32 B-”install”is the rest in Mac OS ExJn 2.Ran XPC Prep tool on “#####”, removed and re-connected flash 3.Transferred Contents of ‘#####-1.2.zip’ on to “#####” 4.Restored BaseSystem.dmg to “install” 5.Copied hidden folder “Packages” into “install/System/Installation/” 6.Added FakeSMC.kext to “install/system/library/extensions/” **Note-add any other custom KEXTS you need from your working 10.6 install** 7.Rebooted to Flash Drive, WAITED 5 minuts for ##### to launch-that was the key was to wait. 8.Press “M” and changed boot args to “-v -f arch=i386″ **i do this cuz some of my customs KEXTS are 32bit only** Then Escape to exit the menu. 9.Press “G” to generate .AMLs 10.Using arrow keys chose “install” 11 this booted to the installer. Here is chose my “Lion” partiitoned i had already created. 12.Rebooted back to working 10.6 13.repeated step 6 onto “Lion” and also removed "Lion/system/library/corservices/PlatformSupport.plist" 14.restarted to USB FLASH, waited again and chose “Lion” to boot. 15 Booted to Lion!! Now i do have a few things to work on, such as my wireless, internal keyboard and trackpad. Also it freezs like clock work every 17secs. Extremely slow. Also only detects ONE memory bank with 2g but states i have 3g when in reality i have 4gs. something to do with the system bios. ##### would not let me patch the bios with “P” but i have a feeling this is why its so slow and does not detect my wireless as well since my wireless is detected on 10.6 with retail kexts. Here is what i have. Gateway M-6816 1.5ghz Intel Core 2 Duo 4gbs DDR2 667mhz 320g Sata 300g-10.6.6 Server/20g-10.7b TrueMobile Wireless Card Sigmatel 9205 Audio Intel GMA X3100 144shared RAM Video Hope this all helps and perhaps sparks some ideas t fix my slowness issue.
13. 10.6.5 is out

looks like something to do with your kaspersky.kext. try pulling it and reboot with -f or try -x -f and try pulling it. it might be a kext that doesnt load during safeboot.
14. 10.6.5 is out

undated with Combo update however i lost USB support. Keyboard, mouse, Optical Drive (saw it as USB before) work however NO use info found and the usb ports dont even have power now. exploring a few other threads unless someone has a solid fix. 11/14/10 3:52:41 AM kernel kxld[com.apple.iokit.IOUSBFamily]: The following symbols are unresolved for this kext: 11/14/10 3:52:41 AM kernel kxld[com.apple.iokit.IOUSBFamily]: __ZN14IOPMrootDomain17createPMAssertionEyjP9IOServicePKc 11/14/10 3:52:41 AM kernel kxld[com.apple.iokit.IOUSBFamily]: __ZN14IOPMrootDomain18releasePMAssertionEy 11/14/10 3:52:41 AM kernel kxld[com.apple.iokit.IOUSBFamily]: __ZN14IOPMrootDomain19setPMAssertionLevelEyj 11/14/10 3:52:41 AM kernel Can't load kext com.apple.iokit.IOUSBFamily - link failed. 11/14/10 3:52:41 AM kernel Failed to load executable for kext com.apple.iokit.IOUSBFamily. 11/14/10 3:52:41 AM kernel Kext com.apple.iokit.IOUSBFamily failed to load (0xdc008016). EDIT: After looking at all the roll back ideas foe the IOUSB kexts, this doesnt make sense as mine were not touched by the update. there were only a handful of kexts that were ADDED and MODIFIED in the Ext folder. IOUSB NOT being one of them, so essentially rolling back is the same exact kext that is already there...or am i missing something?
15. Facetime for Mac beta not working

I got the same issue running fully updated 10.6.4 on a Gateway M-6816. launch Facetime gets the light on, but no window, click on the facetime icon in the dock and it will bring up the facetime window but its all grey. same issue with prefs and sign out...any ideas out there? i cant find any other threads for this issue.
