@Tiem Hi Bro ......If you look though the guys posts you're realise quickly he wouldn't know where to begin on how to fix he's windows partition. In this instance I think wizemans solution is better for the guy as its fool proof and he will be able to do it on he's own. He didn't even have a sn, uuid and mlb installed into my EFIs when I took a look at it. What your saying is a perfect fix but not for somebody with such little knowledge for themselves. Make Sense G? I will be using it in my new build. and it will be a bit learning curve. but its all part of building a hackintosh people need to remember its a HACK. and not a easy fix plug and play we all have to learn how it works to fix it. but over the years people seem to want to been spoon feed every thing which is a shame. thanks again for your time and effort

ANYBODY PLAYING AROUND WITH MY EFIs AND JUMPING FROM VERSION TO VERSION TRYING THEM OUT THEN PLEASE REMEMBER THAT NO 2 EFIs ARE THE SAME SO IF YOUR TRYING OPENCORE AND THEN CHANGE OVER TO MY NDK VERSION OF OPENCORE YOU MUST REPLACE THE ENTIRE FOLDER INCLUDING THE CONFIG.PLIST AND THE EFIs ENTIRE CONTENTS. THERE IS SIMPLY NO LAZY WAY AROUND THIS AS UNLIKE CLOVER OPENCORE AND NDK OPENCORE ARE UNDER DEVELOPMENT AND STILL IN THERE BETA PHASE. THIS MEANS THAT HOW THEY WORK AND HOW THEY ARE CONFIGURED IS ALWAYS CHANGING WITH EVERY VERSION THAT PASSES SO THIS MEANS THERE IS NO LAZY SOLUTION AND COPYING YOUR CONFIG.PLIST FROM OPENCORE TO NDK OPENCORE OR FROM A OLDER VERSION OF OPENCORE IS SIMPLY NOT AN OPTION. I HOPE THIS CLEARS THINGS UP FOR ALL THEM PEOPLE OUT THERE WONDERING WHY NDK OPENCORE DOESN'T WORK FOR THEM OR WINDOWS WONT BOOT. IT'S YOUR OWN FAULT FOR BEING LAZY!!!!!!!!!!!!

@Olas you have frucked up the EFI partition of your macOS boot drive. You need to reconfigure it and then do it all over. Correct steps to have macOS + Windows Dual Boot: 1. Remove macOS m.2 / sata drive completely and leave only the drive you wish to install windows to. 2. Boot your installer 3. Install Windows on the only connected drive. 4. When installation is finished boot to Windows. 5. Shut down the machine and install your MacOS m.2 / sata drive 6. Boot into UEFI BIOS settings and set your macOS as first option 7. Reboot and if you have done everything correct you will see your Windows Drive as a boot option on Clover / OpenCore. Thats all. Period.

same for me but temporarily I use -v in nvram sudo nvram boot-args="-v" to remove when is fix by Clover sudo nvram boot-args=""

There is a report in another forum that the BIOS reset problem is still present in 10.15.5. Does anyone whose DSDT has a "real EC" have the BIOS reset problem?

USB power settings we moved to USBPorts.kext . We don't need EC nor USBX

You either need to use downloader scripts (if they are still around and working like @crazybirdy's or @ricoc90's macOS Downloader) or you need to use the macOSDeveloperBetaAccessUtility which doesn't require a developer account but you have to install it on your computer to enroll your Mac/Hack into Apple's Beta/Developer program so you can get the beta updates. macOSDeveloperBetaAccessUtility.dmg

Not good idea. I built Clover and... terminal window dissapeared make me shocked. I never close it to not lose current path and history.

@telepati for functioning updates you'll want to have working NVRAM. To do that, you'll need to have "EnableWriteUnprotector" set to enabled. As you have a modern Intel motherboard, you may need to compile SSDT-PMC.aml, add it to the OC ACPI folder and add the file to your config.plist to get NVRAM working.

Thanks, the first SSDT worked. It seems that the 470 i have with the i5-6300U is half a 460 and half a 470. After generating my own USBPorts.kext, I seem to have everything working. I did need to change LCP to LCPB in all the SSDT that mentioned that part of the DSDT tree. I will use this for a few days and see how it shakes out. Thanks for the help.

@Allubz, the issue with TRX40 is with AMD kernel patches (at least that is what I have in my memories about our investigation). For this reason no change in OpenCore is believed to be needed. You need to consult to AMD patches' developers for this. Also, while unrelated, I do not think macOS kernel works well enough with a large amount of threads.

The Catalina 10.15.4 installer behaves the same (same errors) whether I use DosDude patcher or vanilla Catalina installer. When using the DosDude patcher on my Latitude E6410, I set my SMBIOS MacModel to MacBookPro6,2. When using a vanilla installer, I set my SMBIOS MacModel to iMac14,2 and no NVidia Injection.

The 10.15.4.02 installer behaved the same for me on my Latitude E6410 (Series 5, i7-620m) as installer 10.15.4.01 (as per this post). After applying the upgrade from the Catalina Data partition, I booted from the upgraded Catalina volume, confirmed that the upgrade completed (the version is correct) and manually deleted '/System/Volumes/Data/macOS Install Data'

@tonyx86 yes i have fake EC Device SSDT did not install 10.15.4 but just upgraded i have another problem what i did create another partition on the same disk even i can install the updates but when i reboot the machine to begin the actual installation process i can't see the newly created partition and yes cmos reset no luck

While examining the differences between my socket 1156 / H55 desktop (which has the BIOS reset problem with 10.15.4) and my Dell Latitude E6410 (which does not have the BIOS reset problem with 10.15.4), the obvious differences are BIOS manufacturer and that the laptop has a real EC (renamed from ECDV to EC) and my desktop has a Fake EC. Has anyone with a Fake EC been able to install 10.15.4 without the BIOS reset problem? Does anyone with a real EC have the BIOS reset problem?

EDIT: Without making any changes to my Dell Latitude E6410 EFI, I simply ignored "An error occurred while preparing the installation" and "The bless tool was unable to set the current boot disk" and am now running 10.15.4 on my Latitude E6410. I needed to delete '/System/Volumes/Data/macOS Install Data' after the upgrade. The problematic 10.15.4 upgrade leaves me wondering whether the upgrade is fully completed (even though the version is now reported as 10.15.4). I am running Clover (legacy) r5109. --------------------------------------------------------------- Am I missing one or more Clover (Legacy) bootloader drivers that need to be installed for the 10.15.4 installer? I have only installed Clover BIOS drivers FSInject and APFSDriverLoader. Details below. I have installed Clover (Legacy) r5109 with Clover BIOS drivers FSInject and APFSDriverLoader. Despite the error "An error occurred while preparing the installation," the "Catalina - Install" is created on my SSD. If I reboot from the 10.15.4 "Catalina - Install" (which still boots, despite the error above) the 10.15.4 installer fails with "The bless tool was unable to set the current boot disk." Does this "bless tool" error indicate that I am missing a required CLOVER BIOS driver?

Rev 5109 GUI rendering engine rewritten to C++ but not a copy of old engine. It is rather new engine. First it draw transparent menu over Banner. Other transparency differences. Looks like Second there is no more a bug with screen resolution changed by F9. Now it is possible! Now theme designers should more carefully check all images. New engine is more rigorous to images. However they may named icons as *.png as it should be. Not .icns as before.

Ah then you are suffering from an issue that happens on some machines with AMD CPUs. No way to fix that unfortunately.

DRM works fine in 10.15.4 with AMD cards. Just make sure to run on either iMacPro1,1 or MacPro7,1. No need for any shiki boot arg.
