  6. The lastest AptioInputFix and AppleUiSupport from master (pre-release versions one should compile oneself) provide support for certain laptops, which previously had issues reaching the login ui. Should be thanking bratwurstinhalator, who worked hard with me and Savva to nail the issue down. AptioInputFix (planned to be released under R24 tag) got the first large update after two years, which is intended to fix missed keys on APTIO V and UEFI Shell. As a side change AptioInputFix got generic input protocol support (SimpleTexInput and SimpleTextInputEx), which was necessary for virtual machine debugging. While it means that practically any machine with any UEFI firmware can work with AptioInputFix, just like with AptioMemoryFix, non-APTIO firmwares are supported unintentionally. Use at your own risk and submit patches if something is broken.

  7. HACKINTOOL The Swiss army knife of vanilla Hackintoshing WARNING! Hackintool is not an automated patching tool that does all the work for you. Knowledge is required on how to patch before using it. Please read the Intel Framebuffer patching using WhateverGreen guide before you download this tool! I also recommend you read Daliansky's Hackintool tutorial (a proper English translation would be welcome). Mojave, Lilu + WhateverGreen You cannot use the Clover's KextsToPatch for framebuffer patching in Mojave for Skylake and above Framebuffer Dumps There are a few ways to dump your framebuffer data (the second two require WhateverGreen + Lilu debug versions) to read in Hackintool: 1. Use the Framebuffer->macOS 10.13.6 / Framebuffer->macOS 10.14 menu to create patches without a framebuffer dump 2. Use the -igfxdump boot flag to dump IGPU framebuffer kext to /AppleIntelFramebuffer_X_Y (root of your boot drive) and then File->Open menu 3. Use the -igfxfbdump boot flag to dump native and patched framebuffer table to ioreg and then File->Import->IOReg Dump menu Features - Supports Sandy Bridge, Ivy Bridge, Haswell, Broadwell, Skylake, Kaby Lake, Coffee Lake, Cannon Lake and Ice Lake generations - Create All, Connectors or VRAM patches - Detect Changes for auto patch creation - Create Clover patches in hex, base64 or Devices/Properties formats - Displays native GPU and Model identifiers - Display and edit Memory Info such as Stolen, Framebuffer, VRAM, Cursor etc. - Roll over some items for additional info (Tooltips) - Reads "live" data directly from Framebuffer kexts (if available; see Mojave note below) - File->Open framebuffer file generated by WhateverGreen's -igfxdump boot flag - File->Export->Clover config.plist / File->Export->Framebuffer.txt file - Patch audio layout id - Add USB port limit patch - Plug and unplug USB2 / USB3 devices and set port connector types then generate a USBPorts.kext - Advanced patching options (DVMT pre-alloc 32 MB, VRAM 2048 MB, Disable eGPU, Enable HDMI20 (4K), DP -> HDMI, GfxYTile Fix, Reboot Fix, USB port Limit, Spoof Audio Device Id, FB Port Limit, Spoof Gfx Device Id) Release Notes Updates are on Github 2.8.6 - Fix crash in getEDIDData, fix Import KextsToPatch 2.8.5 - Add "Show Installed Only" option for installed kexts 2.8.4 - Improved framebuffer enumeration, updated codecs and pci.ids 2.8.3 - Improved version checking routine, updated Turkish translation 2.8.2 - Updated Clover download location / OpenCore download support, Chinese translation update 2.8.1 - Data file updates 2.8.0 - Fixed OpenCore KextsToPatch format. 13. Your BIOS does not have NVRAM variable whitelist, so the problem is elsewhere. Most likely in some BIOS configuration (check AptioMemoryFix github README for recommendations) or in your hardware. For example, there were precedents of boards with <= 4 GB of RAM having not working NVRAM on APTIO V due to memory allocation problems.

  32. Tried to fix that, this is what @cecekpawon and I came up with. This is just a new approach / alternative way to make kext-injection work with Ozmosis and the newest OS. Please don't confuse this with a new Oz Version, it is not! To differentiate, the patch is called 167X-XMAX and is fully based on 167X-MASS but used extended with cecekpawons UEFTW-Tools. To make kext-injection work with Mojave a few things are needed: A patched Ozmosis XMAX: Ozmosis.efi / Ozmosis.ffs for firmware Using this Oz file you will not have working injection! You must use KernextPatcher with a special KernextPatcher.plist! This plist holds everything for injection from ML-->Mojave. The Plist is included into the following FFS, if you use the EFI version you need to use the attached Plist (which you can extend with your own (Kext/Booter...)-patches). For firmware including the Injection-Fix: KernextPatcher.ffs EFI Version for e.g DBounce: KernextPatcher.efi + KernextPatcher.plist After several tests I can confirm that Kext Injection and installation with Mojave works using this Ozmosis + Kernextpatcher but we need braveheart testers. To install Mojave use: Ozmosis 167X-XMAX, KernextPatcher with right Plist, EnhancedFat, ApfsDriverLoader, HFSPlus, latest FakeSMC and an updated defaults.plist (this is a template/example: Defaults.plist / OzmosisDefaults.ffs). Also the use of AcpiPatcher is recommended to fix bad ACPI-Headers and apply renames. Please use all these files at your own risk! Good luck!

  33. Hi there and welcome to InsanelyMac.com Remember that we don't support any of tonymac's tools and guides, you can read the forum's Rules to see why. I have an AMD RX580 8GB which is ALMOST similar to your GPU. I use it with a dual display setup on my SkyLake rig and the performance is the way it should be, although with 10.13.4 changes to support the eGPUs I encountered some issued regarding the black screen but here's how I fixed it on my rig: 1. I set the RX580 as the primary GPU 2. CSM is disabled in BIOS 3. I enabled the iGPU as the secondary GPU to enable Hardware Encoding Support 4. I set the following flags under the "Graphics" Section in the config.plist 1. InjectATI=True 2. InjectIntel=True 3. Added the ig-platform-id according to my iGPU 5. I don't use WhateverGreen because it's not needed anymore so you can remove it from the Kext folder 6. Added the following patch to avoid the Black Screen issue since I use the iMac17,1 SMBIOS (you might not even need it) Name: com.apple.driver.AppleGraphicsDevicePolicy Find: ba05000000 Replace: ba00000000 Comment: Prevent AGDP from loading Remember that your GPU is listed in Apple's site as a compatible model so you might not need to use the InjectATI=True. About the framebuffer the most compatible framebuffer for RX580 is the Orinoco framebuffer which might also not be necessary in your case. RadeonDeInit=True is not necessary for macOS High Sierra 10.13.4 and newer. You can also send me your EFI folder for further analysis, you can remove Serial Number, MLB, UUID, Apple and theme folder and any other private data that you have. If the problem persist you can always make a clean install without using any third party tools to have a 100% vanilla installation and then we can troubleshoot the issue one step at the time. Here's a detailed guide on how to install macOS High Sierra on your rig and you can find a lot of great tips and tricks. Just run this app and post the results here and I'll take a look. RunMe

  34. As I said earlier this year, I am retiring from maintaining the unlocker after 10 years now that this version has been released. I have 2 volunteers willing to take it on for the future and we will announce who they are when we are ready. Before this happens I want to point out a few things about the unlocker that newer members may not know about and where to look if they have problems. 1. The unlocker does not modify any code in the executables. It only patches data tables for the virtual SMC (vmware-vmx to run VMs) and the Guest Host Tables (vmwarebase to show macOS in the OS selector). 2. Issues with guest resolution and keyboards/mice etc. will be down to VMware tools. It may need them to be downgraded to a previous version if issues are found with the latest ones. Issues like resolution also occur with unpatched VMware Fusion on Apple hardware, and so it is worth looking on the VMware forums as well for a solution. 3. Kernel panics during macOS guest startup are usually down to 3 possible causes: Running on an AMD CPU which is not natively supported by Apple macOS and requires a modified XNU kernel. Installation media incorrectly built from the downloaded installation app. 3rd party macOS "distros" which quite often have KEXTs and settings that are not VMware friendly 4. Installation issues for unlocker have mainly been due to certain AV products protecting the VMware folders. I know that McAfee Host Intrusion Protection can cause the installation to fail, so disable them when running install/uninstall. Also make sure VMware is not running during installation. 5. Issues where macOS guests do not work after a VMware upgrade. This will be due to the patched executables being overwritten during the upgrade process. Make sure you re-run the installer. I will still be lurking around on the forums but not working on this topic. I need a break and some new challenges. Thanks to all those who have helped over the years with the different incarnations of code to make macOS on VMware happen. You know who you are and I could not have done it without those who helped answer questions, donates code patches and tried out early versions. Dave (Donk)

  35. Updated Ralink/Mediatek drivers for USB dongles released at 29/11/2013. MAVERICKS AND YOSEMITE COMPATIBLE Drivers downloaded from http://www.mediatek.com/en/downloads/usb-rt2870rt2770rt3x7xrt537xrt5572/ I made a zip file with oficial drivers and a preference pane from dlink that replace the oficial ralink wireless utility. This solve the problematic Ralink Wireless Utility that simply does not work on yosemite and the package doesn´t install the maverick kext in yosemite. ZIP CONTENTS DLINK PREFERENCE PANE INSTALATION Copy preference pane to \System\Library\PreferencePanes\ Copy kext for your MacOS version (use Maverick for Yosemite) to folder \System\Library\Extensions\ Repair permissions Rebuild kext cache Reboot.
