    iMacPro SMBIOS and new horizens

I'm not surprised because the the MSR 0xE2 register is locked and therefore not writeable so you must boot with VoodooTSCSync.kext and TCSadjustreset.kext take a look about the guide here for X299 build : https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/331658-how-to-build-your-own-imac-pro-successful-buildextended-guide/

    iMacPro SMBIOS and new horizens

I have adopted the Smbios iMacPro on my H81 rig since i began my X299 build. I have updated to 10.13.4 SU (17E202) by terminal command with no issue
  4. To be more positive : - i have updated since a few minutes to 10.13.4 (17E202) my build Msi H81M-E33 - i5-4460 and it seems to be more faster than past hours
  5. Same issue for me since the beginning of this week : - very slow on my H81 i5 4460 build - slow on my X299 build Safari or Firefox , Wifi or Lan. I must hit the reload button too to access on selected posts.

Sleep / wake : - Sreen on USB_C - HDD or USB on USB 3.1 But I have not PCI device to try sleep/wake on USB 3.1 I can eject the HDD or USB on USB 3.1 and replug it. My SSDT is according to my IOReg May be arbitrary isn't necessary but Kgp on an older post mentioned this to prevent sleep or Hot-plug issue if I remember so I use arbitrary ( I am perhaps "old school " )

    All right now : I have taked delivery of my new TBEX3 this afternoon : plugged and all is fine at startup, screen plugged on USB_C My Settings recap : 1/ Bios recommended parameters for Thunderbolt + Pci devices set as Legacy 2/ I added arbitrary lines on my config.plist ( Thanks @Matthew82.) <dict> <key>Comment</key> <string>THUNDERBOLT 1577</string> <key>CustomProperties</key> <array> <dict> <key>Disabled</key> <false/> <key>Key</key> <string>model</string> <key>Value</key> <string>Thunderbolt EX3</string> </dict> <dict> <key>Disabled</key> <false/> <key>Key</key> <string>AAPL,slot-name</string> <key>Value</key> <string>Slot-4</string> </dict> <dict> <key>Disabled</key> <false/> <key>Key</key> <string>name</string> <key>Value</key> <string>Thunderbolt 3 Controller</string> </dict> <dict> <key>Disabled</key> <false/> <key>Key</key> <string>device_type</string> <key>Value</key> <string>Thunderbolt 3</string> </dict> <dict> <key>Disabled</key> <false/> <key>Key</key> <string>IOName</string> <key>Value</key> <string>Thunderbolt</string> </dict> </array> <key>PciAddr</key> <string>03:00.00</string> 3/ my SSDT SSDT-TB3U2.aml.zip 4/ I have updated the drivers for TB3 on Windows 10 with the last one.

Okey : sleep issue so did you try lelets SSDT TB3 V3 ?

    ThunderBolt Drivers

What TB model you have ? With SSDT you may have partial or full Hot-plug.

    ThunderBolt Drivers

@lelet I'm upset: my Asus TBEX3 stopped working at startup yesterday: I think, something in the PCB is "dead ": so I ordered a new one today and maybe I'll take delivery tomorrow. Strange problem: the first time in twelve years of experience in PC hardware a component is "burned" so quickly. To the next

May be good improvment based on iMac18,3 : i will try and return what it give on my rig ;-)

Your return is quite interresting : In both cases, the arguments on Method (_DSM are conditional and return opposite results for package (0x02) "PCIHotplugCapable" Zero or One.

Yes it might , but there are various other settings that are configured by the SSDT and loaded at startup. At this point we are trying with @lelet , @Matthew82 and others to improve and perform Hot-plug on all ports.
