Sorry to bother you if it's already asked:

 

Are the theme customizations default (Folder icons, background)? Is there an option not to install them?

 

If I use my EFI Strings to load video and sound, could I update the system (For example to 10.5.3) without having to backup extensions update and restore ?

im downloading now v3...i hope this fix;s my hfs+ error after install allow me to proceed with the install and maintain my dual boot with vista. l:-) phyched :D

Down towards the bottom, there's a section regarding that issue.

I'm using the MAC OS bootloader, with XP on partition 1, Vista on 2, and OS X on 3.

 

This is the best way to go, I think, as it allows you to re-install OS X without trashing the Vista install.

BTW eddie11c, great release as always. Installed perfect! The only thing that I have to point out is that my nvidia 7300gt is recognized as "Graphics by NVIDIA" instead of Nvidia 7300GT. No big deal, just thought I would point that out. Also I really don't want to see all the text scroll up the screen when booting. Is there a way to bring back the grey apple screen?

I've burned the tpb version three times with three different programs and I get the same freeze at 2 minutes left, I verified the md5 checksum and it matches.

Wonder if there is something in v3 that I need to check off at install that would be different than v2 because I have no problems installing v2 the same way I'm attempting v3.

I'm going to download v3 again.

Is anyone else having the freeze during install problem ?

Thanks for the great release! Booting the DVD and installation went very smoothly. It's been the only release so far that has been installed without issues during the installation process.

 

I have nVIDIA GeForce Go 6150 graphics on my laptop but the 'GeForce Go' driver on the installation did not work for me, so I tried doing the NVInject .41 thing and got a kernel panic on restart, so I'm basically stuck there..

 

I'll probably end up doing the installation again because nothing seems to be working for me. :lol:

Seems to be something different w/video this time around.

 

Using an Asus Laptop, Intel Pent. M CPU (SSE2), Intel 915 chipset & Nvidia 6600 G0 graphics.

 

Got it working under V2 by installing the Nvidia-Kexts package & the nvinjectGo.kext from nvinject's site after installing Leo4all V2 w/no graphics chosen during installation..

 

this time, I just installed the Nvidia-Kexts package during install, and then the same kext d/l'ed from nvinject, but no joy..

 

System logger shows: kernel [0]: NVDS, Display-B: Not usable.

 

 

One possibly related question.. you're offering diff. kernels with this release. Which is the equivalent to the one installed by default in Leo4allV2 ? the default choice is the same?

 

I'll try to re-install this evening, w/no graphics selected during install. Just hoping for some ideas. =)

 

Would installing the Nvidia-Kexts package from the V2 dvd break things?

I get the exact same error. But there is no file by that name. Did we DL that for nothing? Does anyone that has fully downloaded Leo4Allv3 have this file: V3-Final.part01.R00 ? If you have it can someone post it somewhere please.......

 

 

 

Whenever I try to Un-RAR them it asks for a fiile V3-Final.part01.R00 however there is no file named that.

EDDIE, Help me, plz!

 

 

Leo4all (v2) installed without problem, when I reboot to finish the installation (user infos) and select OS X Partition ( dual boot XP ) I only have 4 or 5 lines which rapidly succedes and my PC reboot immediately.

This morning I tried to boot into the Dvd and I received the "waiting for root device" error. I have the Asus 780i, IDE DVD drive, IDE hdd and two 8800gt 512's. I can get iatkos r3 to install but thats about it. I can't get video, Ethernet or sound installed on it so its pretty much useless. Does anyone have a clue if I even have a chance with this setup?

i was getting that error with kalyway 10.5.2 but not kalyway 10.5.1

I am able to successfully boot to the leo4allv2 and leo4allv3.

a misc error or two but still manages to get to the install screens on my 780i

Try this configuration:

1- Hard disk as master and DVD driver as slave on the same ide (ide 0 recommended)

2- Disconnect the other hard disks in phase of installation

are you able to get any further with leo4allv3 on the 780i? Also how is kalyway 10.5.1 with this board?

 

 

my kalyway 10.5.1 + updates (see sig) is still runnin like a champ. some small misc problems but nothing impediing working with the machine.

 

the leo4allv3 i only booted to the dvd to see if i could, but i've been following the philosphy that if i can at least boot to the dvd, that i CAN get it to install.

more than thanks for your fantastic work. Just a quick and hopefully to be answered question:

 

when installing leo4allv3 and having a nv 8800gt vid card do i have to use the nvidia 10.5.2 keytexts AND the nvinject 0.21 option or only one of it.

Congratulations for the great job , eddie11c! I will download this release as i heard that it supports SIS 760 and it will actually recognise my SATA HD, this has been confirmed by a friend of mine with the same pc configuration. So thanks once again! Good stuff ! :)

is this an ICH based chipset? does it need special drivers or anything? I have a laptop based on ICH7 that works perfect.

 

It's ICH7-M based.

 

Here are the specs if you're interested. Actually I need to boot with cpus=1 (aka Dell workaround) otherwise it's prone to random shutoffs etc...

I didn't get it from them, but it's the same laptop. I have a CoreDuo 2.0Ghz in mine and 2 gigs of RAM.
