Hello OC people! I have uploaded a new icon set for OpenCanopy called "Retro."

I might have to make some revisions when 0.6.8 comes out...

Very nice. Different. Create ReStart and ShutDown icons so we can use this nice theme with 0.6.8 even though it's still in beta.

What size do Restart and Shutdown icns have to be?

EDIT

Just looked at Binary Master. Looks like 72x72.

Also, I'm not sure I would do anything different at this point for those icons. If you you want to test, I'd copy the ones from the binary master to my set.

Yes, its size is 72x72.
Just for testing your theme with 0.6.8, I have added Restart and Shutdown icons from @blackosx Orange theme that has a color compatible with your Retro theme.

It is a very nice theme. I don't know whether to call it retro or just different. I like it.

This week has been full on with work but I've managed to put together my first actual theme; BsxDark1_

It's clean and simple and based on the mockup image I posted last week, but with some changes/refinements.

preview.jpg

The .zip includes 12 different background files (each for a different resolution) and the required icns files for OpenCore/OpenCanopy v0.6.8. There are also extra icns for Linux installs if the user wishes to use them. See the included ReadMe for setup instructions.

Available at: https://github.com/blackosx/BsxDark1_

Note: I think I've included everything in the .zip, but if anything is in error or missing then please let me know.

Very very nice, I like it a lot. Arrows are simple and beautiful. I'm gonna try and comment.

@blackosx BsxDark1_ looks bright and clear-cut, including Monaco font. :thumbsup_anim:

But how have you changed the order of the entries? I see it in your screenshot.

Hi @miliuco

I think @blackosx upload a mock-up of his theme. Which explains why the icons are not in the right order.

I've generated a variation of the previous theme, this time named BsxDarkSpace1_

It's also a very nice theme but I like BsxDark1_ more than this one.

Yes, as @Matgen84 mentioned, it's a mockup and not actually a screenshot.

Thanks for your honest feedback. It's always good to hear :)

Yeah, I like the black one but I'll be experimenting with different styles so not everything will be liked by all.

I've spotted a couple of things I wish to change in BsxDarkSpace1_ so I'll update it maybe tomorrow if I get time. I'll also look at hosting the themes in a repo to make it easier to amend any of the images if I need to.

Just a quick heads up for theme creators. Download-Fritz has applied some new changes, fixes and additions to OpenCanopy. See recent commits and new .icns files in OcBinaryData.

Thank you for your hard work DF.

Thanks blackosx for pointing this out. Two questions:

1. With "new .icns files in OcBinaryData", do you mean the release branch at https://github.com/acidanthera/OcBinaryData/tree/master/Resources/Image?

2. Which of your sets is compatible with the latest OpenCanopy?

With the most recent OpenCanopy.efi, OC first defaulted back to verbose menu here. I solved that by replacing my Resources/Image folder with the one from the link I posted above.

Hey BuXb

Everything here is planned to be up to date for when 0.6.8 is released.

For ref:

New mandatory icons for 0.6.8 are:

- Restart, Shutdown, BtnFocus, Dot, Entry, Lock, Password and SetDefault.

1. Yes

2. I have a current WIP theme available here:

https://github.com/blackosx/BsxOc1_

And also some simpler, cleaner themes based on the above but with different icon colours.

partially solved, see my edited posting above. But with the new OpenCanopy.efi, the bottom of your custom framd font is cut off here now:

02213911.jpg.ccdd156505e63ee9986879661f3adc55.jpg

OC's default font displays fine, but is too small. Any idea?

[EDIT] oh, cross-posting, LOL, thanks for your super-fast reply -  your speed is top-notch B)

Which biggest font as possible do you suggest for OpenCanopy 0.6.8?
