No, desktop users have the issue as well. Me for example.

That's correct and Me too (on my SkyLake rig). I will test my Haswell rig later and see if that's also affected or not.

okay i found some true.

i put ivy fake cpuid on my skylake laptop.

and getting verbose log.

as result, bootloader is no problem.

seems apple changed some cpu part in kernel.

i wonder that is mistake or not

amd cpu patch uses changed cpuid and null cpu kext. we also just follow this rule

Does this mean that on newer than Skylake Intel CPUs there should be no issue when updating, correct?

I already posted here that I tried OpenCore with the same result. It is not related to the Bootloader and as far as I can tell also not related to any other component of the configuration. It really looks like the Kernel has issues with certain hardware configurations.

Can you please make a brief post about what is going on ?
I don't understand where is the problem exactly !!!
Clover ? Kexts injection? CPU  generation? Laptop? Desktop?
My Laptop and Desktop both are Skylake CPU and Clover r5104

Thank you
now seems cpuid issue in beta6. latest clover is no problem with broadwell fake cpu id.
