  1. Just wanted to chime in and give thanks to Mieze for the best BT solution for Dell 1830 I've seen so far. This card overall is a nightmare, further solidifying my disdain for Broadcom chips. While wifi works great OOB on Mac OS, BT has been a pain in the butt, while in Windows the wifi driver is outdated and overall horrible (connection drop outs, disconnects etc. and latest version from 2017 causes a random BSOD). I really wish we had more options for compatible cards apart from Apple Airport ones (which due to the necessary adapter in most cases don't fit in laptops). Also, for the member above with issues with webcam and BT, its your USB port mapping that's the problem. Use the script here to create a custom SSDT with all your USB ports mapped: https://www.reddit.com/r/hackintosh/comments/9wkuc6/script_to_create_ssdtuiacamlinjector_kext/

macOS Catalina 10.15 is out !!!

Updated without issues from the latest beta on a Thinkpad X260. The download was quite slow though, Apple servers must be taking a pounding...

    [pre-release] macOS Catalina

Update from DP7 to DP8 went smoothly on a Thinkpad X260. Indeed, rebuilding kext cache from Mac OS proved problematic, I had to boot into recovery, delete the prebuilt kernel cache and rebuild using kextcache -u. It now seems to work fine. Everything still works, but brightness range is limited - AppleBacklightInjector loads but doesn't seem to be working - or something change in AppleBacklight and we need a new kernel patch for Clover to enable full brightness range. EDIT: Well, even though WhateverGreen's backlight patches did not work for me in the past, they now seem to do so fine. So in essence removing the injector + clover patch and letting WEG do its thing works in giving me full brightness range.

[GUIDE] Lenovo T460 macOS with Clover

There really isn't that much of a perceived speed difference between the older (Sandy Bridge/Ivy Bridge) 45w CPUs and the newer low power (15w) Skylake ones, sadly. But the newer architectures do have improved graphics and decoding capabilities.

[GUIDE] Lenovo T460 macOS with Clover

X260 owner here, this thread is a tresure trove for the T460's smaller sibling. Quick question: using both SSDT-PNFL and SSDT-RMCF patches, I have the backlight working fine (full range) and patching DSDT enabled the hotkeys as well. The only thing I've noticed, is that in some parts of the brightness range, PWM flicker is quite evident, especially on gray backgrounds. The same thing does not happen in Windows. I have a FHD LG panel in my X260. Does this happen with the FHD T460 panel as well? Is this something one lives with? I've tried various things to correct this to no avail. (LMAX in RMFC is set to 1388, as per RehabMan's guide).
  6. Like others, I have a MB6,1 with Sierra and 8GB of RAM, which worked fine UNTIL I attempted the MBP5,5 EFI flash procedure (don't ask me why, I use this Mac for experimentation). Windows works perfectly, but in OS X USB, trackpad and keyboard are unresponsive, even in single user mode. I will attempt to install an older OS X version (like Snow Leopard) and see if I can flash the original EFI firmware. However, this doesn't appear to be available anywhere online. Could a Macbook6,1 owner post a dump of their original EFI?
