    WhatEverGreen Support Topic

Hi guys, I'd like to know if it's possible, with whatevergreen, to control the gpu pstates, raise the idle frequencies and under load.

    Clover General discussion

Im using the same config.plist too. Can you help me spotting the differences? Id like to run both kernels on the same clover version and config. preboot(4392+custom kernel).log preboot(latest clover).log

    Clover General discussion

Guys I need you help, I'm trying to debug a problem and the only variables remaining are a custom kernel and clover. When I try to boot to high Sierra with a custom kernel with the latest clover it hangs with a "kextd stall [0]: AppleACPICPU" message while if I use the old 4392 the pc boots. I have the same kexts in /kext/others and the same efi files in driver64uefi. I noticed also that even if I didn't check it in clover and there isn't in the config.plist in the verbose message of 4392 appears as boot argument (after ++++++) slide=0. If I check it manually in both clover it gives me an error of kernel (don't know if this is relevant). What am I missing?

    Hackintool v2.8.6

    Sure. ioreg.txt
  5. Already changed those type of settings, with vgtab or PyVega. As I said in another topic I have a strange behavior with my vega64, the p-states probably don't work as they should, under load (like valley benchmark) i can see the core frequency around 500-1000 with fluctuant fps (Geekbench is even worse, the core can't raise over 100). It seems that the gpu doesn't receive the right instruction (just a guess) in those type of scenarios while for example in LuxMark the gpu can maximize correctly its core/memory frequency with more than decent results. Can it be a lack of power management? Any advises will be really appreciated

    Hackintool v2.8.6

Hi headkaze, do you know why on my ryzen hack the gpu isn't recognized in Hackintool?

Modify power management on Vega 64

Hi guys, sorry for my English in the first place, I have a Vega 64 with an amd ryzen cpu on Mojave 10.14.5 (yeah no native power management cpu/gpu possible with my config) and I have sometimes really bad performance with my gpu. Not an expert but I think that the problem lies in a bad power management and/or control of the p states. With a benchmark like LuxMark I have a score around 300k, 100% gpu utilization and max frequencies in both memory and core (Im checking with HWmonitorsSMC2) but with others like geekbench my clock core remains around 100 max 500 with a score of 35k (Unigine valley and heaven can't maximize the frequency and utilization too). It seems that somehow the gpu can't adjust the frequency or the system can't ask the right amount of power/frequency to the gpu. The only scenario where it works as expected is under really heavy tasks (like I said LuxMark or partially Multiple Cubes/ Iron Fix Boxing Kings in OpenGL Extensions Viewer). Is there anything I can try? Like a manual adjustment of threshold or p states etc.

Just tried, I can confirm this.

    Did it, same problem.

    [pre-release] macOS Catalina

I had to reinstall all just to realize that was a problem of virtualsmc. With fakesmc boots without problem

    Hackintool v2.8.6

Hi! Im on Catalina beta with my laptop in signature and I have already a working ssd-uaic file created with the rehabman method but I wanted to try your method too so I deleted it and I followed the steps described in the Hackintool info. At the end of the process I noticed that my left usb 3.0 didn't work at full usb 3 speed but it was only recognized as 2.0. So I installed my old ssd-uiac and I noticed that a usb 3.0 pen in the left USB port of my laptop doesn't show at all in the USB ports list in Hackintool. I noticed another strange behavior when I was checking my USB ports with usbinjectall and the port limit patch(without my ssd-uiac): when I plug a usb 2/3.0 in the others 2 port it highlights both the hs and ss ports at the same time(is it normal?), this doesn't happen when I plug an usb 2/3 in the left port, in this case the USB port name remains the same (HS01) while in the ioreg its hs01 for the usb 2.0 and ss01 for the usb3.0.
  12. Is there a way to run 32bit app with this kernel, algrey?
  13. Hi guys, tried to update to 10.14.3 but I'm having problem to rebuild the prelinkedkernel Link failed (error code 5). Prelink failed for com.apple.driver.AppleMobileFileIntegrity; omitting from prelinked kernel. Can't use AppleMobileFileIntegrity.kext - not linked. Prelink failed for com.apple.security.sandbox; omitting from prelinked kernel. Can't use Sandbox.kext - not linked. Prelink failed for com.apple.security.quarantine; omitting from prelinked kernel. Can't use AppleMobileFileIntegrity.kext - not linked. Prelink failed for com.apple.AppleSystemPolicy; aborting prelink. Failed to generate prelinked kernel. Child process /usr/sbin/kextcache[856] exited with status 71. Error 107 rebuilding /System/Library/PrelinkedKernels/prelinkedkernel
  14. Im having a strange problem, I'm on 10.13.6 and with the patch 002 installed. If I have macpro as smbios I can't play 50% of videos in Vivaldi/chromium while with others smbios they work but I have a significant drop in performance gpu wise (6-7 fps in valley benchmark from 40). Can be a kernel problem?
  15. Thanks! Edit: just tried on my amd ryzen 1700 hack (with a rx 480) and it freezes the system. Everything works good with full support on my laptop in signature.
