Remove panic log first.

Merci.

Search in Clover GUI Option menu, I don't remember if is possible. You can also block temporarly AppleALC (Option/System parameters)

When I disabled AppleALC, I was able to enter the system smoothly, but when I used AppleALC and injected the id, I got a kernel panic. Vit9696 said that this is not a problem with AppleALC. At present, I don't know how to solve it.

What codec do you have?

Type F2 in Clover GUI for Preboot.log. What is your EFI Folder?  and post it.

Please, complete your signature (CPU, mobo, etc...).

One of the possible solution is to use VoodooHDA.kext without AppleALC.

I am very sorry, I have been busy on the forum recently. This is the attachment you need.

What codec do you have? Necessary to know what layout-id

Please, complete your signature (Desktop or Laptop, CPU mobo, etc...).

My sound card model is ALC236, and the layout-id used is 18.

codec#0.txt

Yes. Layout-id is 18 in AppleALC/Ressources. You can try others Layout-id for your codec using boot-args: e.g alcid=layout — to set value layout-id (cf AppleALC Wiki)

before, do you already rebuild kernel and kext cache?

Your laptop is  Lenovo Legion Y530-15ICH? If Yes, for Lenovo, codec = realtek ALC3240!!!

Take a look: a link for Lenovo Legion Y520. config.plist or this one for Y530 EFI Folder (Feb '19)

Update from DP7 to DP8 went smoothly on a Thinkpad X260. Indeed, rebuilding kext cache from Mac OS proved problematic, I had to boot into recovery, delete the prebuilt kernel cache and rebuild using kextcache -u. It now seems to work fine.

Everything still works, but brightness range is limited - AppleBacklightInjector loads but doesn't seem to be working - or something change in AppleBacklight and we need a new kernel patch for Clover to enable full brightness range.

EDIT: Well, even though WhateverGreen's backlight patches did not work for me in the past, they now seem to do so fine. So in essence removing the injector + clover patch and letting WEG do its thing works in giving me full brightness range.

Hi guys,

Anyone else having wake issues with RX cards and Catalina Beta 8? This used to work before. Now it just doesn't anymore. System goes to sleep just fine. But it just doesn't wake up graphics after sleep. Same config.

Update: I disabled Inject Intel. Now it does wake up the screen, but can't move the mouse pointer, and keyboard seems to be stuck, as well. Everything is pretty much frozen.

I feel this has to be related to the iGPU. And...after fiddling around with the ig-platform-id, I'm pretty sure that's the cause. Thing is...the same ig-platform-id (for headless connection) used to work before. I just don't know what to change now to make it work again...

I have no problems at 10.13.6-10.14.6, only there is a problem at 10.15, I am sure my sound card model is ALC236.Very strange, I injected the layout-id in 10.15 and I got a kernel panic.

I have already fed back the question to vit9696, but vit9696 said that this is not a problem with AppleALC.

In my Z87 hackintosh at 10.14.5/10.14.6/10.15.betas previous working RTL8111.kext/Lilu.kext/AppleALC.kext in /EFI/Clover/kexts/Other need put in /System/Library/Extensions , otherwise both RTL8111G networking and ALC-1150 failed to load.

Please try this way to see whether it works for you.

the best value for disable SIP in Catalina beta8 is

<key>CsrActiveConfig</key>
<string>0x3E7</string>

We have all of the infos in TERMINAL WINDOW with csrutil status

Same here in DP8.

Try using VoodooPS2Controller.kext version 2.03 here:

https://github.com/acidanthera/VoodooPS2/releases

RehabMan's version of this kext has not been updated in nearly a year and doesn't work well with Catalina.

Any1 has problem with Vmware fusion running and then macOS goes to sleep? It causes kernel panic on my hackintosh with attached kernel panic log. If Vmware fusion not running any emulated OS then everything is fine include sleep and wake.

VMware fusion version is latest 11.5
