April fools or rookie's work - did anyone try to check it (App Store, Dev's Prog)???

AppStore nothing, I'm not in the Developer program so can't check that

But still it's weird they're releasing *89 after *99 :P

Think you guys are confused, the Full installer from the AppStore is macOS 10.13.4 (17E199)

I have to set only fakeID or I need to enable other patches in clover?

You should only need fakeID with lilu and whatever green no AtiInject

I know, that is the exact problem. Apple released 17E189 today, but can nowhere be found.

I think they just messed up. Except for Apple's release notes, it's not mentioned anywhere

I've done some tests:
- fakeID + whateverGreen + lilu: all as before, audio works, loaded by whatevergreen, but seems that fakeID isn't recognized by whateverGreen;
- fakeID + ATIinject: graphic acceleration works, but no audio. In this case whateverGreen doesn't do anything (I've tried without and with it, and there are no changes).
Isn't there a way to make fakeID recognizable by whateverGreen? Set it in clover/devices/ATI, is sufficient? Thanks a lot for the help!

Seems like the only way to use fakeID with Whatevergreen would be to use a custom SSDT, see below from Whatevergreen FAQs

- What properties should I inject for my GPU?
Very few! You should inject an HDAU device to your GPU controller, hda-gfx properties with a corresponding number to the amount of audio codecs you have, and that is basically all. If you need to mask to an unsupported GPU, additionally add device-id. It is also recommended to add some cosmetic properties: AAPL,slot-name (displayed slot name in system details), @X,AAPL,boot-display (boot logo drawing issues), model (GPU display name, if detection failed).
While not pretending to be perfect, there is a SSDT sample to get the general idea.

You can try this SSDT I created

Install of update went fine, except some odd Safari Issue where websites like the New York Times won't load with Javascript turned ON... loads with Javascript OFF.

Anyone else observed this behaviour .. 10.13.3 works fine.

Safari 11.2 experimental version works fine with Javascript set ON....

Safari 11.1 on my real macbook works fine...

Safari 11.1 with 10.13.4 installed on 2 separate drives however fails...

The R9 290 is not present in WhateverGreen, you should contact vit and have him add it.

It is device id 0x67B1 (it may be the only card with that device id):

https://gist.github.com/roalercon/51f13a387f3754615cce#file-graphics-card-device-ids-L332

But that id is not present in WhateverGreen, skips from 0x67B0 to 0x67C0:

Hi guys, I'm having a problem with an R9 290 and the latest macOS update (10.13.4). In macOS 10.13.3, in order to set up my GPU, I had to add its deviceID (0x67B11002) to AMD8000 and X4000 controllers, install WhateverGreen, and all worked perfectly. Now I've a strange problem: with the same method, GPU is recognized (AMD Radeon HD 8xxx, like in 13.3) and HDMI audio works, but I have no hardware acceleration, like no driver installed. I've tried ATIinjection, Framebuffer edit etc, but nothing works. Can you help me please? Thanks a lot!

Now in 10.13.4 you need to make a devID correction four times:

for AMD8000Controller.kext  twice

for AMDRadeonX4000.kext

for AMDRadeonX4000HWServices.kext

for the Debuger

Yeah I understand for the Debugger but there is no need for that feature anymore with High Sierra's Disk Utility. You can do everything needed straight from it now.

Really ?

You cannot view/mount/unmount EFI partitions from within the high sierra DU like you could with the old one (with Debug enabled).

Plus, the new DU has terrible user interface compared to the older one for changing partitions.

True but you don't need to view/mount/unmount EFI partitions using Disk Utility anyways. Clover Configurator has that built-in the app itself.

Thanks a lot! It finally works! Adding my GPU's ID to all these kexts and installing WhatEverGreen, all works perfectly! Thanks to @Pavo and @Cyberdevs, too, for their kindness and availability. :wink_anim:

Also, now sleep working without WhatEverGreen for me

Yes, that's the reason for me, too. And the RecoveryHD i can't view/mount with new DU and it's not possible for me to change partitions with mbr layout.

@Cyberdevs So up until now i havn't felt more laggish than before in 2D use (there always was some lag like in destop switching) and in games it feels at least as good as with 10.13.3

On the gaming side of things 10.13.4 has been light years faster for my 290x alien isolation's is back to max at 177fps min 94fps and guild wars 2 maxed as it can be is min 45 max 89 avg 64 and tomb raider is 153 max 100 avg and min 80fps

Change the view from volume to disk layout with the view drop down in the top left. You can change the disk layout by selecting and erasing (which is required anyway unless you mean you want to convert, then you could never have used disk utility to do that). About the EFI partition, the command to mount it is pretty easy from the terminal anyway if you can't access it from disk utility:

diskutil mountDisk diskNsM

Where N is the disk number and M is the partition number, usually 1 for EFI. But you can get the actual listing from

diskutil list

Or just use clover configurator, or one of the other many ways to mount it. Clover even has an RC script to mount it at startup.

Some issue on my build Msi H81M-E33 - i5-4460 3,4 Ghz- 8 GB ram - Sapphire R9 380 Nitro iTX 4 GB from 10.13.3 (D2047) to 10.13.4 (E199) Smbios iMac Pro (for fun) :

- 1/ direct update from Appstore failed at screen MacOs can't be installed on your computer ...

- 2/ Success Update from terminal command  : sudo softwareupdate -i -a :)5ac7f91b284e3_Loloflat6_H81_i5446006042018.thumb.jpeg.3df8a46eeb03516b15d17ed584cda16e.jpeg
