  1. High Sierra MBR and Firmware Check Patch

Found issue - CONFIGURE IPV6 needs to be set to "Link-local only" and then https:// loads fine. Weird....but now ok... I will see how next update goes! Thanks again CB for great tool.
  2. High Sierra MBR and Firmware Check Patch

CB, so many versions for 13.4... what did you change in latest? Still having weird problem loading https: sites like the new york times with Java turned on ... loads fine with J off.. and Safari 11.2 loads fine , just some weird issue with 11.1 in 13. 4.... not sure if it is webkit error or what but loading hangs about half way...even on clean install, but no problem on real MacBook...only hack...crazy....
  3. macOS High Sierra 10.13.4 is out

Install of update went fine, except some odd Safari Issue where websites like the New York Times won't load with Javascript turned ON... loads with Javascript OFF. Anyone else observed this behaviour .. 10.13.3 works fine. Safari 11.2 experimental version works fine with Javascript set ON.... Safari 11.1 on my real macbook works fine... Safari 11.1 with 10.13.4 installed on 2 separate drives however fails... Dans
  4. High Sierra MBR and Firmware Check Patch

Updated fine using the Q9... but have issue with browser not loading New York Times website unless Java Script turned OFF.... only with version 11.1...version 11.2 experimental version works perfectly.... happens with both Combo update and 11.3 - 11.4 update...really strange....certain sites don't load... wonder if there is a new setting hidden somewhere... this does not happen on my real MacBook either....anyone else?
  5. Safari 11.1 seems to be broken in the 10.13.4 update...the experimental version 11.2 seems fine but 11.1 won't load some pages like the New York Times... it just stalls part way through loading...Has anyone a suggestion? I've tried dumping caches etc but no luck... also get the spinning ball on some other sites or the full page doesn't load... Dans Update: It looks to be a JavaScript problem... with JavaScript turned OFF on 11.1 the NYT site loads...with it ON it stops about 1/3 of the way through. Other websites are kind of hit or miss, and often get the spinning ball .... Is there a way to reset Java or JavaScript after 10.13.4 update?... Safari 11.2 runs fine...Technology Preview...

  9. High Sierra MBR and Firmware Check Patch

Is a patch needed for the latest security update (January 8 2018)??
  10. High Sierra MBR and Firmware Check Patch

Been running Lion right through HS on my 10 year old i5 PC without any issues, its fast and stable. Windows 10 runs as well, but the desktop is so ugly I only use it if I need some software that isn't mac friendly .... if Microsoft stripped all the {censored} out of Win 10 they might have something, but I'll stick with MacOS...its perfect...runs fine on my macbook and on my PC....and yes maybe you have to do a bit of head scratching to get there, but if you don't then buy a real macbook......
  11. High Sierra MBR and Firmware Check Patch

Think you need to boot with the USB drive then run script to create a folder on the 10.13.1 HDD called "macOS Install Data" and copy all the files on the USB to it...then try installing from App Store. ... have not tired this yet ... did it the hard way....
  12. High Sierra MBR and Firmware Check Patch

Just to be safe I installed from the full update again to a blank HDD then transferred my 10.13.1 data to it... I will try an update on another HDD ... so I use: Disk1mbrInstaller and use the script to create the macOS Install Data on the existing HDD with 10.13.1 on it then run the update installer directly from the app store?
  13. High Sierra MBR and Firmware Check Patch

GUID table hdd, and journaled partition will boot with Clover installed in the same partition as MacOS I assume... even though the computer is 7years old and has an award bios.? I'll try it.
  14. High Sierra MBR and Firmware Check Patch

so if GPT is used and creates recovery partition, can you then do installs of future updates direct off App Store then?
  15. High Sierra MBR and Firmware Check Patch

really? - I have windows on a separate hdd... I couldn't find any directions as to how to set up GPT with old bios using clover, can you point me?? Thanks
