I would try to disable dsdt in clover dsdt option and put kext nvidiafixup 1.20

Latest kext fixes policy and black screen with signal

I am using only a single ssdt to rename gfx

And it is working

All port are working

I have not tried 4K display

sorry, but i don't see the logic. DSDT method it's the same like your SSDT just one file for all devices... i am right?

yes you are right

HS is doing toghter nvidiawebdriver some strange behavior and it is different from user and user

If your display port is not working..I would try different ways you used before..

It is not a question about logic.. :-)

 

it's all about finding illogical ways :)

Wich monitor are you using?

Have you also a quadro card connected which have a native 10bit output?

i don't think the Photoshop 30bit checkbox has something to do with the monitor output.

when switching to 10-Bit color output I get black screen. Both of my monitors support 10-Bit so I think the Problem is driver or system related.

 

I'm using Lilu 1.2.0 + NvidiaGraphicsFixup.kext 1.2.0 in EFI-Volume

this is so strange... on my display only mouse and black screen... works ok on dvi-d. sleep also ok. I thinked maybe after web driver update will start work displayport... on Sierra worked just great

In my testing, different port combinations yielded different results. I have 2 displayport monitors and 1 hdmi working with no black screen, but if I use other combinations I end up with at least one screen black.

to test I have installed Rextreme

I have two monitor

DELL 2707 WFP

Philips 278G4

 

for RESxtreme app both are 10 bit compatible...

I didn't know it

However if I set 10 bit resolution I have black screen with signal

 

I do not have a real 10 bit monitor to test also I think I should have need of a real 10 bit output card like a quadro card

but hey..it is only an opinion! :-)

it seems that my display is 8 bit (6bit+frc). tested with 8/10 bit output displayport=black screen + mouse. dvi-d 8bit ok/ 10bit black screen + mouse

I have the GTX 1070 and 30-bit doesn't work for me anymore (it did in Sierra). Just get a black screen like you describe. Hopefully it comes back in a future driver update.

Photoshop does seem to support 30-bit still, strangely.

I tried to change the color depth to 30-bit few weeks ago and the same thing happened to me. It also gave me the black screen.

after reading a lot about 10-bit color output, it seems we have to buy a expensive Quadro Card to use Photoshops 30-bit mode,

because PS uses Open-GL and 30-Bit open-gl needs a Quadro card…

How do you reset to a working resolution_

I have now two black screen in high sierra and i can-t find where ResXtreme write its value to reset it

I have a multiple display setup. I changed one display's color depth and after I saw that it went black I used the other working one to change it back.

 

I guess you can plug one of your displays to another video output on your GPU and it will be detected with the original settings and revert back the color depth on the other one that it is still connected to the same output as you changed the settings on, and so on.

I did two error..  :)

I will try your advice

changed from first monitor hdmi1 to 2 and second monitor from dvi to display port but nothing

always black screen with "10 bit" signal

 

I have to find preferences user display setting or if available ResXtreme plist

Try removing "com.apple.windowserver.plist" from library/prefrences.

 

ResXtreme changes the PixelEncoding from: --------RRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGBBBBBBBB (24Bit) to --RRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGBBBBBBBBBB (32Bit)

now i see login page in both my monitor

But when i insert password black screen again on botn monitors

Maybe a user setting to delete?

When I change the color depth these files change as well:

 

~/Library/Preferences/ByHost/com.apple.loginwindows.........plist

~/Library/Preferences/ByHost/com.apple.windowserver.........plist

 

and

 

~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.spaces.plist

 

 

You can remove the whole "ByHost" folder form your user folder because the files have a tail like: com.apple.loginwindow.DDE707F3-3801-5E48-93A9-B970C08725F7 that might be different from your system,

On which system you can't get it to work? Do you have EmuVaraiableUEFI.efi installed? and do you have NvidiaWeb checked?

Off-Topic but might be useful: (Feel free to delete if you must)

 

macOS reads the preferences files from /library/preferences and the /System folders and based on those files it will create a another version of them to ~/Library/Preferences so users can have their customized settings. So when we create another user macOS will copy the basic files and settings from /Library/Preferences to new user's Library.

(create custom package, uninstall, update and last install the custom package?)
 
it was the only form to avoid the gIOScreenLockState 3 error ... so thank you so much for your work

For my part it is a very good method pending the new Official Drivers
this allows us to test the Betas OS

On my Ryzen system, Nvidiaweb checked and EmuVaraiableUEFI.efi is grey in clover config.

 

EDIT: Nevermind. On the patcher when I ran it, it would still give that warning but ended up installing ok. I also added the fixup kext.

Hello, Is it possible fix screen flickering on Fermi GTX550 TI card? Both native and web driver(lilu+NvidiaGraphicsFixup) with Inject Nvidia starting but flickering. I tried with SMBIOS iMac10.1, iMac13.2, iMac14.2 - same result.

Please try change colors from Billion to Million with SwitchResX.

Works perfect again same method, Install Update , Reboot

Create Package with  Nividia Payload Packager;  install  MyWebDriver.pkg☞ (17B46a) Voila  B)

EDIT**

Test Nividia Payload Packager; with this new Driver here and Works good B)
