Well all of a sudden it seems like shutdown is working.  I am having a bit of a hard time all of a sudden to get EFI to auto mount and some boots just seem to get stuck, no crashes just gets stuck at some point during verbose boot.  Who knows it could be the hard drive or graphics card/ nvidiagraphicsfixup/lilu.  Using latest versions of each.

Hello there! I sleep on the 775 platform can not wake up in 10.13, waking up is the state of crashes: cpu and graphics card fan operation, but the screen is not bright, black. Has been ruled out and has nothing to do with graphics, MacOS10.12 sleep wake up normal. How to solve it? Thank you!

Hardware Configuration: ASRock G41M-VS3 R2.0 (CPU E8400) GT740 Graphics DDR3 1333 2Gx2

Hello MaLdOn,
I used to have persistant wake problems (1/3 black screen) with my old fully edited DSDT for my (old) Hack.
Plus, I have to unplug it to restart (CMOS ?)
With High Sierra, I totally loosed the ability to wake, still no problem to sleep.
I tried iMac 10.1 and 14.2 with no luck.
It could be my old cooked DSDT .. :angel:
Could you please check it, Doctor ?

i think u need look into FRWR patch and SBUS patch, avoid use _DSM into SBUS for apperas in PCI devices

try a simple sbus

Device (SBUS)
            {
                Name (_ADR, 0x001F0003) // _ADR: Address
                Device (BUS0)
                {
                    Name (_CID, "smbus") // _CID: Compatible ID
                    Name (_ADR, Zero) // _ADR: Address
                    Device (DVL0)
                    {
                        Name (_ADR, 0x57) // _ADR: Address
                        Name (_CID, "diagsvault") // _CID: Compatible ID
                        Method (_DSM, 4, NotSerialized) // _DSM: Device-Specific Method
                        {
                            If (LEqual (Arg2, Zero))
                            {
                                Return (Buffer (One)
                                {
                                     0x03
                                })
                            }

                            Return (Package (0x02)
                            {
                                "address",
                                0x57
                            })
                        }
                    }
                }

                Device (BUS1)
                {
                    Name (_CID, "smbus") // _CID: Compatible ID
                    Name (_ADR, One) // _ADR: Address
                }
            }

Hi MaLd0n I have one more to look at.  Asus Maximus Formula Bios conversion to Rampage Formula, X38 chipset LGA775.   Only issue is system wakes to black screen.  Once it wakes fans rev for a second and goes to black screen.

Files attached!

Thank you for your time,

I'm trying your SBUS, and disabling FRWR device in bios.

Will tell you with happens  :)

Edit : no change

it goes to sleep, and when I try to wake it up :

 -HDD led fixed on 2 sec (no blinking activity)

 -HDD led off, black screen.

i have to unplug it to restart (else, macOS won't load ...)

check

attachicon.gifDSDT.Mr MagOO.zip

for full PM , try with -no_compat_check and use iMac10,1 SMBIOS

Well,

I tried a 10.1 smbios with -no_compat_check and several hardware conf (FSB ...), no USB inject in clover, darkwake=0 ...

there is still no change

I did some ioreg files I will compare

The next thing will be to downgrade to 10.12.6, where I could wake my hack 1 time on 3 and do the same test.

I'll report back.

Anyway, a big thank for your help.

Edit :

I did new Sierra install on backup SSD with your DSDT and -no_compat_check

It sleeps and wake 2 times but it failed the third time by rebooting.

OS didn't load right after that. I had to unplug the hack to get MacOS back.

I tried without rtc fix patch but it's worth because it did a cmos reset.

It is perhaps pointless but I think some USB are off.

agpm is loaded.

Here is 10.1 ioreg and dsdt is yours. :)

Six chained sleep/wake with no problem and the seventh failed on reboot and macOS doesn't load.

Hardware problem?

Take a test, use wake only in power button

DSDT.02.zip

all USB work?

Take a test, use wake only in power button

attachicon.gifDSDT.02.zip

all USB work?

Test was little long because 12 times sleep/wake OK by power button !  :lol:

But ... cpu is 1/2 speed  :) 1,33 GHz for a nominal speed at 2,66 GHz.

Don't know if this occurred at boot or after a wake.

usb is still lacking ports for intel usb2, usb3 card is ok

edit1 :

bios was affected, it crashes when I tried to save cpu on auto...

reboot is OK and now CPU is at 2,66 GHz.

going to test sleep/wake by power button

edit2 :

second sleep/wake crashes ...

i will try several hardware configuration (memory speed ...) tomorrow.

I'm going to sleep.

Big thank for your help

Even though I applied almost all of the dsdt patches, I could not wake up properly. This phenomenon is like the X79 motherboard can not wake up the same.

I attach my dsdt, you help me check, I think dsdt should be able to solve this problem, thank you very much!G41M-VS3 R2.0 / E8400 / GT740

Here's the same question: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/newbie-need-help-wake-and-sleep-problem-in-high-sierra.239473/#post-1689286

Blank, do not output anything. This means that there is no wake up any information.

Clover configuration file

Clover version is the latest version 4411.

remove _PRWs from USB devices inside ur previous DSDT, u have a good patches provide by Clover

Removed from the original dsdt _PRW, still can not wake up, but above 10.12 normal. Now attach the original dsdt.

This problem has a long history, may be 10.13 sleep strategy has changed, does not support my motherboard hardware?

From 10.8 to 10.12, sleep wake up are very normal, just 10.13 can not wake up.
