Sorry for the sarcasm. I'm just going to take it back to formula. Start over with a fresh bios file and fresh OZ files. So far I've tried deleting dsdt and kext files in the efi and resetting nvram. Though I'm not completely clueless. I like having a challenge and I'll solve with or without help. Thanks.

Edit: After starting over from scratch I had a little luck getting hermitshell working but it was only after a cmos reset and it was random at best.

Please help! I installed AHCI_Intel_Generic_SATA.kext in EFI/Oz/Darwin/Common/Extensions and suddenly my system will not start - just a black screen. I can't start in Safe Mode or Single User mode. Can't start from El Cap install USB. I can get to Bios settings or EDK shell, but that's it. My EFI volume was disk4s1 when I mounted it from Terminal in OSX.

Can I delete that kext from the EDK shell? What can I do?

El Cap 10.11.4 Oz 167-Mass F6, GA-Z97xUD7TH, EVGA 960 x2 graphics.

I e been using Oz since 894, this is the first time I've run into this kind of problem. Now I cannot get into EDK shell - Gigabyte logo then black screen. I'd appreciate any advice you can give, as I'm trying to become a more advanced user.

Firstly never test anything on a machine that is important to you only a testing machine.  If no spare machine then only on a testing drive you boot from. For your problem here remove the drive plug in a machine that has either windows or linux on it so you can access the fat32 formatted EFI partition that is on the disk then delete the offending .kext you installed.

Use your windows to delete it!

Boot into windows, open diskpart and type list disk and select OS X disk, type list partition and select your efi partition, type assign letter D.

Now go to windows task manager select new task and go to refi partition from it and select your kext if it not appear select all files.

Well almost about to give up. My Sierra partition fails to load stopping or rebooting at motherboard LED error code 'Ad' where as

El Capitan continues to 'A0'.  Its got to be a bios setting conflicting?

Sorry if I did not understand if it was a pun or is serious. Because I found nothing about OpenCore.

Hi

Can any one help me to inject Device id for HD 4400 to attached DSDT.aml?? I need to enable internal HD4400 graphics.

Device Id = 0x0412

Thank you

This is the Ozmosis thread, not the "DSDT patch request thread"...

Check what these codes mean. There should be a section in your manual, or a list on your board vendor's website.

Check if the motherboard LED code actually changes between boot menu and pre-reboot, it might be, it's only telling you it booted a bootloader/exited Boot Services.

Well I looked up that LED post code and it says "issue Ready To Boot event for OS Boot" which means the system is ready to load the OS I suppose. Whats weird about this complete stall out on the Apple logo without progress bar is that I can still load El Cap 11.3 and even weirder is that on the stock bios Clover is also having an issue loading the sierra installer or that partition for that matter. So I don't think its my Ozmosis bios at fault but some conflict with hardware. Wonder what that could be..
