I just updated from DP7 to DP8 getting constant cvmcompiler crashes until system becomes unstable and I need to reboot.

I have not found a solution yet.

My problem persists. Maybe someone knows a solution? I can boot into safe mode.

I have the DP8 install package from my MacBook Air, so I tried to reinstall that, but obviously it doesnt want to. Even tried with Pacifist, but it didnt work.

That was the problem. I updated from the app store initially. The problems began after the update. I guess something went wrong so I tried to reapply the update, though that didnt work.

Humm!!! :(  I do not know if it's recuperable . The best if you have problemes with the update (Boot) try to fix the issue, because the  base system  Mavericks , is very fragile  :)

Working fine on all of my official testers boards with all CPU models:

Rampage IV Extreme

Rampage IV Formula

P9x79 Pro

P9x79 WS

P9x79 Deluxe

P9x79

GA-x79-ud5

GA-x79-up5

GA-x79-up4

GA-x79-ud3

Just to name a few...

Eampage Dev,

Nice to hear that GA-X79-UP4 is working with 10.9, however does everything on this board is working?

Is USB 3.0 / SATA 3 / networking / Sound / working natively?

Thanks!

Yes. All working...

Just wrapped up some SR-X testing last weekend. Some nice dual socket testing for a change. Works like a champ other then some Current issues with 3.0.

Anyone of you are using a 3Ware/LSI Controller on your Hackintosh and Mavericks?

On any write operations on the Volume attached to the controller, mavericks (since dp1) crashes hard. Reading operations are fine, but writing seems to be a no go :( The controller is not supported anymore, and mavericks is still beta i know. But maybe someone of you is running it just fine and its an issues somewhere else in my system?

feydin, i am using the PCI-X : LSI SAS3041X-R SGL - PCI-X, 3Gb/s, SAS, 4-port on 10.9 DP8 and all is working fine, I did a RAID between 2 HDD and read/write speed is around 300mb/s, I am guessing maybe your issue is something else...maybe your hard drives?

ergot, i double checked now that the controller and drives are OK. Booted from a Windows and created a new Partition on a single attached drive, wrote data on it -> no problem. Trying to create a Mac Partition on the same Drive under Mavericks, immediately freezes the system.. :(

Controller Firmware and driver are the newest. Any Tipps?

sorry, but need the name and path of the .plist, didn´t find it!

spam is still there "Network delay is not specified! Defaulting to 0x384"

Hi and welcome,

you have to write the setting in \System\Library\Extensions\IOPlatformPluginFamily.kext\Contents\PlugIns\X86PlatformPlugin.kext\Contents\Resources\<your_platform_id>.plist

EDIT:

I don't know if old system definitions are affected too. If yes, look at ...\IOPlatformPluginFamily.kext\Contents\PlugIns\ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin.kext\Contents\Resources

GM Seed works perfectly with no issue and no patching, quite expected but pretty boring,  not that I ask for trouble, but a little tampering is fun.

Good news is that Adobe has updated After Effetcs CS6 which now works no problem.

Hard to believe such a readiness from Adobe, It must have been really something trivial.
