Ok mod done.

Building kernel now...

EDIT: Done... REL2 with Sinetek's suggested change is done...

Test it please and report back... :D

Source diff is also included in the pack... (as well as PM kext and System.kext needed for PM kext).

I didn't noticed any differences from Shane first kernel also I have not installed PM kext is it needed?

I don't know if it is related to my rig or my DSDT (i'm doing some tests with it) but shutdown is taking a looong time than usual, is anyone facing it too with some of the kernels?

Anyway thanks for the work Andy!

Cheers

Still using Mavericks, going to upgrade to a Radeon R9 270x next month, using a Radeon 5770 atm. I've ran into no artifacting even in launchpad. no pink icons, everything runs smooth (except some things because the 5770 is kinda old) but I'll keep reporting on how stable everything is. scrolling has some lag issues, and some games wont launch on steam such as bioshock infinite.

Installed 10.9 for first time ever with myhack(MBR+internal HDD method) and Sinetek's REL1. Booting is nice and fast. Flag are npci=0x2000.

System was on 10.6 before. I did a partition erase :)

100% working build - except already known bugs

Specs: Crosshair III Formula - 790FX Chip, AMD Athlon II x2@3,06, AMD HD6850GHz, 4GB DDR3, RTL81XX, AD2000B@Voodoo(front,back and Mic..full working)

Hey guys, would his help for iMessage? ie: find out what it is looking for in the FTServices framework or kernel side?

"PushProxy is a man-in-the-middle proxy for iOS and OS X Push Notifications. It decodes the push protocol and outputs messages in a readable form. It also provides APIs for handling messages and sending push notifications directly to devices without sending them via Apple's infrastructure."

Or the push logs by doing this?

$ sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.apsd APSWriteLogs -bool TRUE

$ sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.apsd APSLogLevel -int 7

$ sudo killall apsd

Interesting, i was doing some tests and found that i can boot without NullCPUPowerManagement.kext and FakeSMC.kext, it is normal? Now the only custom kexts i have are VoodooHDA.kext AppleHDADisabler.kext AtherosL2Ethernet.x86_64.kext and Cuda.kext

Name of course not but frequency/speed yes I'm not sure but I think it only means that Andy kernel is blacklisting good and chameleon is taking care of smc just fine for me the less we need custom kexts the better.

Will these logs help figure out iMessage + iCloud?

Also we may be able to create a local server to redirect apple server's to and save a log with the request content... I don't know if it could help as much as your logs but it may log other requests made on background and give us a bigger picture of what's happening... Will test it...

I created mach_10.8.5_rc5 !

Please try  :)

Don't forgot write flag -blacklist or blockkexts=... if need . )

attachicon.gifmach_10.8.5_rc5.zip

Works great on iATKOS ML2 upgraded to 10.8.3 restored from my virtualbox to hard drive (got instant reboots with clean install, don't know why)

Even the unsupported HD6790 is working without any problem or bug. Thank you so much Bronya and all the others who contributed, finally enjoying smooth OSX experience after sleepless days  :)

PushProxy creates the local server....

Looks like it supports iMessage (I could be very wrong). Looking at the topics in the src...

Just a shot in the wind;

There is an app that blocks AppStore from verifying a purchase, and allows you to buy the app for free, using fake certificates. Couldn't we do something a little similar? The app also uses a DNS server.

So setup a server that has something (I am not sure how iCloud / iMessage etc authenticates you) that will tell OS X that your machine is indeed verified? In my head its sort of the same method to the free purchases, obviously WAY more complex, but still slightly the same theory.

It would be easier if there was a debug menu like the AppStore.

Check this out http://osxdaily.com/2011/01/10/enable-mac-app-store-debug-menu/

I am also giving that Push Proxy a go now, just cloned it from git, and going to give it a play around. Duran, if you want, I can PM you that App that blocks the AppStore? (I don't want to put it up here publicly, its basically pirating apps)

Just looking at that link to enable the debug menu, it says 'Fake Server location'? What is that for?

Using the Kernel first initial boot is slow i experience a white screen on the login page and can't type for a few mins once its passed and I'm finally inside the OS its smooth, shame no sound/appstore/iCloud or iMessage but seems good to get this far.

I've tried all sorts of combinations and booters but, I can never get Geekbench3 to complete, ver2 completes just fine, but every time I run ver3 I get a double panic:
