swag01
Has anyone else seen a problem with dragging tracks and other dragging type things not working in Logic Express? I saw someone say something about this on the apple website, but they fixed it by removing the ATI card. Does anyone know why this wouldn't work? I have a Saphire Radeon 1600 256mb. swag01
Ok, I got it to work now. I first replaced the 10.4.7 IOPCIFamily.kext, but it didn't make a difference. Then, replaced 10.4.4 IOPCIFamily.kext and that worked. Hope I don't see other sideffects now. Thanks for the info.... martin1976
I know this is not strictly video drivers realated but I didn't know where else to ask: My monitor will not go to "sleep". Qtrc
Wow, I've been tring for days to get this working. I first tried it on my 10.4.6 install and it didn't work. Then tried it on my 10.4.5 install and it worked. No mouse tears, THANK YOU. Mousepose can only do so much. I also got 1600X1050 resolution on my new viewsonic VX2025wm. Here come the bad part, my mouse is invisible. I can't see it. Has anyone had this problem with this installer? If so, do you have a solution? I can't say Thanks enough!!! -RC Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/19806-howto-x1600x1800-full-support-borisbadenov-method/page/10/#findComment-145105 Share on other sites

asstastic
Has anyone with a laptop tried using the patch with a VGA video dongle? I don't see why this method wouldn't work to get the main display detected. Ok so i tried it out and it didn't work. I know the dongle was working cause my laptop was booting to a blank screen. There must be some way to force display detection. I'm willing to test anything to get this working. Brywalker
Wow. Thank you for this! I got ax x1600xt for $115 AR! MUCH better than the Intel gfx. My *ONLY* complaint is that it seems that the fan is on 100% on the card. It's not super loud, but it is far from silent. Any way to get that thing to calm down? Superhai
Only way to control the fan is to get AppleHWSensor (or make your own kext/plugin) to work wth the card. I guess the GPU sensor on the macs are different from the stock cards. munky
locuras and others lacking monitor sleep: my X1800 will only allow the monitor to sleep on one of the two DVI ports. if you have an additional DVI or VGA port on your card, try booting up with that one connected to your monitor instead of the one you are currently using. Rockett
OK so I rebooted and got the blue screen of death (wont get past this). So, ran the uninstaller and now im trying to do it the manual way. However I got half way through only to find: ATIRadeonX1000GA.bundle is missing?! Can someone send me it... can't reboot or anything as im stuck half way through Edit: noticed it was .plugin. Anyway booted fine with the manual install - just still no CI/QE. Again, any suggestion to get them? Thade
Hi all. I just got a great deal on a Sapphire X1600Pro OC edition for 109.00 - 30.00 (instant savings) - 20.00 mail in rebate= 59.00 The offer just expired http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16814102019 I used the NeoPheus installer and it is working great on 10.4.6. I have CI,QE and resolution control including my native 1680x1050. I don't have DVI which I expected and I haven't seen any sign of mouse tearing. System profiler reports 128MB RAM out of 256. This card uses GDDR3 Thanks for this guide and the installer. Does anyone else have this card? I'm going to attempt manually editing the files per this guide to see if it makes any difference with DVI or the RAM J Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/19806-howto-x1600x1800-full-support-borisbadenov-method/page/10/#findComment-148226 Share on other sites
